Anasta owed money

Is it on paper, if not, it is all talk, Braith should know better than that.He has been around for ages. If he is owed and not been paid, he should be seeing his solicitors, not the newspapers. If he wants to buy meat, it is the butcher and not the newsagent, probably Braith has been misquoted.

There's obviously a lot we're never going to know about this. What does appear to be true, however, is that Anasta decided to tell his story to the media before meeting the CEO about it. His first loyalty has always been to his media career, and unfortunately I suspect he is going to be a go-to guy for the media whenever they need an 'insider' to give a negative Tigers angle - and for a long, long time to come. Sort of a better looking George Piggins: the convenient rentaquote hacks can call up every time they've got some sh- they need stirring.

Anasta's manager would have mentioned it to Mayer at some stage.
Yes maybe Anasta himself never had a meeting with Mayer but Mayer's offsider Warren McDonnell certainly knew about it because the deal was done with him.

Mayer always keeps a distance from the dirty work and his line of "that's a surprise to me" is wearing quite thin.

The Wests Tigers' Board's job is to address this matter. As the Board is very new it needs to dig deeper into the matter and ascertain the truth as a matter of high priority. Mayer has to front the board and tell the truth. If he isn't to blame the Board needs to delve deeply into history and find what has been documented by Messrs Humphreys and Sheens. Silly me, I thought the club was becoming more professional.

I am surprised people really care about this. I am sure Anasta is a good guy, but he is slagging of the club in the media. Maybe it's just a tactic to get what he is owed, but I support Tigers, not the new Roosters coaching assistant.

As a club we have to clean the slate of all the past deals. We can not move forward and start the long road to being the best club in the NRL while we continue to be linked with negative press because of things done in the past. Any talk of owed monies is a very bad look for the club

It is a bad look…Id wait and see how this goes down b4 I get all angry abotu badly run clubs and all that.

It does stick in my throat that our of all the peeps to have whinge its that oxygen thief Anasta.

I know how crap he went for us shouldnt affect his pay but the devil inside me hopes he never gets it for making me watch his 1 hit up,8 metres and 10 tackles per game.

Its got nothing to do with Anasta

It could of been Nick Graham ,Tim Moltzen or Ryan O'Hara

For me its got to do with the fact we are continually being told that we have turned the corner as a club and then the next drama or issue pops up

People might be saying that I'm all doom and gloom but the club just can't keep taking hits like this

If you were a potential player with all this going on and all the other negatives that are attached to the WT's would you choose us or one of the 12-13 clubs that have few or none of the issues we do

Especially when it is going to possibly effect your pay check ??

Who gives a flying cake hole about this guy if he was paid or not. Does he seriously deserve 4 pages worth of dribble and I just added to it :unamused:.
He can probably play Golf better than what he ever was as a footy player

You are the type of guy Grant Mayer is looking for…give him a call.

I think Anasta is slagging the club when his problem is with 3rd party deals. It might be to discourage any Roosters thinking of coming across perhaps. Why hasn't he taken it up with Mayer before now ?

Its strange how we can know so little, yet we get told would should assume Braith MUST have already mentioned it to the club and how it MUST be money owed other than TPA because he would look stupid if it was.

I'd love to know the end result that comes from this. Either our club needs to be shamed into acting appropriately to prevent this sort of stupidity from happening again, or Braith will come out looking like a twat for telling half truths to further his career in the media.

You can be sure other clubs would be pointing out any perceived weakness, in no uncertain terms either.

I agree, so many aspects of the house must be in order to attract players and looking robust in key areas would be important.

What? are you really worried if his paid or not? that's why he has a Manager and going through the right channels should be sorted.
Well in that case you must be proud to work in such a dysfunctional Club.

No one gives a rats about Braith FT

But it reflects badly on us as a club desperately trying to recruit players for 2015 and beyond if this is true

I am very glad the forum have no say in the running of our club, if they did no player or player manager would come near the place. I do not know who owes who, but I know Anasta is owed money and the club has a duty to resolve the matter because their brand name is taking a hit, not the company that was involved in the TPA.

As Happy said, it is not about who is owed money and what value we got from them as a player, its about money being owed and the hit the brand name takes as a result.

Mayer will revert to his usual tactic, deny any knowledge, divert blame and go underground

well if anasta was one of the culprits leaking info to the media, third party payment or not i'd be withholding his money too.
at our club he did nothing and brought nothing. all this talk about his leadership, please.
