Anasta owed money

If hes owed coin which Im sure he is….its a poor look pointing the finger at him.

Can be included as a seperate part in contracts, but can't be initiated by a club.

So it's not the wests tigers that owe that third party money. It's the third party sponsor?

Correct. In theory it is up to his manager to source out the legitimacy and likelihood of receiving the TPA. However in the real world with rorters like Broncos, Roosters, Dogs players just naturally assume its the clubs responsibility to honour the TPA.
 
so anasta is a whinger for saying he is owed money , maybe he wasn't worth money he was contracted for but if west agree to pay him ex amount of money 3 party agreement or not he should get that money . and what other players are in the same boat . this sort of thing wont help the harmony of the club
 
Similar thing happened with Gasnier at the Dragons didn't it?

By the rules, this is nothing to do with the club if it's a TPA - it's between the manager, player and sponsor, but we all know that is BS…

I agree he should be paid whatever he's entitled to, doesn't mean he is exempt from criticism for his performance in his time here.

If the monies owed are from the club, it's a poor effort by the club not to pay their players. If it's external TPA, he can GAGF and get his manager to chase it up.
 
If Tigers owe him they should pay him.
How many threads have there been moaning that Tigers can't attract top shelf players? Who wants to play if they don't get pay? Not a good reputation for any club regardless of the on-field contribution by the player concerned.

IF the club owes Anasta money, and IF the club can't afford to pay him … there must be a heap of crap players earning a heap of money they don't deserve! How on God's earth, given our roster, can we be so broke we can't pay this clown his money? All I can say is that the idiots who ran this club over the past 5 years (at least), should hang their collective heads in shame.

Yeah you're right, I know he's entitled to the money and he should be paid, but it's hard to listen to him whinge about not being paid when he was dire to watch in his time here.

If it is club money owed to him I would prefer they sort it out and move on. Getting to have this reputation of being financial deadbeats, if not already.
 
Anasta fulfilled the gig he was given. No one was expecting him to set the world on fire at the tail end of his career, he was under instructions to keep a lid on it for the first three tackles so they could then get the ball out to Brooks. He fulfilled this brief to the best of his ability, and usually put some good tackles in as well. I'm not convinced that was the best use of our number 6, be it Anasta, Moses or Austin, but it was in part Potter's decision to keep Anasta quiet.

Braith may have been past it as a representative 5/8th but he still got out there and took his hits, and still put his body in front of blokes who were 10 years younger and 30kgs heavier. His final appearance at Leichardt where he dumped Jamal Idris on his head was a season highlight for me. He must have known there was money owing last year, but he still put the jumper on and had a crack, never sounded off in the media during the season. Darius Boyd was in the same situation last year, and he was just sulking at fullback watching balls go into touch

When I heard about Blair's sudden departure my first speculation was unpaid TPA money, and I think Anasta's comments confirm that. I wonder how many of our playing group have been stooged.
 
Player managers and any player that is in any sort of demand will avoid us. You can convince a player that the club is a great place to be and is on the up, but soon as their is any doubt on getting paid, everything goes out the window.
 
I mentioned it last year that Anasta was owed a lot of money from 3rd party agreements that the club promised him.
Two other players owed money are Farah and Tedesco.
Players also have been promised a car that never eventuates after they sign.

This all started before Mayer but he is happy to continue along the same lines of screwing players over.
 
Anasta says he is owed money? If correct, we should pay him what is owed.

But just because Anasta says he is owed money…...I think I will get a second opinion.

TPA are agreements between player and sponsor… The club is merely an intermediary...the player has obligations under all TPA's did anyone stop to think maybe the player defaulted on their obligations in the deal???
