I've long been on the record as a non Anasta supporter. I can't see that he offers much in attack and I'm concerned about his errors. I don't believe he offers creativity or direction but defensively he does his job. What Anasta does offer, is an experienced head and steadying influence for Brooks. He's a mentor. This gives Brooks time and room to develop his own leadership skills and creativity in the first grade. Apparently Brooks has been quoted as saying he appreciates that, and obviously Potter can see a continuing need for it. My take is, Potter is settling Brooks into the first grade using Anasta as on-field mentor. We're winning games! Maybe it's softly softly catchy monkey.
In the Eels game it was clear that Austin had an immediate influence on creativity and direction. He can't be denied for much longer.
