Apparently Lamar Liolevave has signed with the Bulldogs but is trying to get out of his contract to stay at Wests Tigers.

Has anyone else heard anything?
 
heard it was hala masila that signed with the dogs.
this guy is sticking around.

I don't mind losing forwards like Gavet and Blair but I would be pretty gutted to lose Liolevave. I watched him playing for keebra a lot and he was very solid. He is good friends and has a great combo with Te Maire

Isnt this the kid who's brother plays for the dogs? I understood that his mum wanted him to sign with dogs but he wanted to stay at Tigers. I had not heard of any contract being signed though, providing it is the player I am thinking of…

If Our policy is based on youth, Liolevave must be the first back rower signed long term.

He's similar in many ways to Jason Taumalolo, who is destined for big things- it'd be a killer to see him develop and shine at another club.

Yep, Smurf's on the money. It was rumoured last year that he had contracts from both us and the dogs and it was complicated with his brother being at the dogs but in the end he decided to come here. Would have most probably been a 2 year deal like many top young nyc players coming from school.

There hasn't been any updates on this in recent times so chances are Sabre you've been reading up on old news by accident. That or you were speaking to one of the very few people closely linked with Liolevave who knows what's going on, which while being possible i think the former is more likely.

WT should be doing everything we can to sign him up to a new 3 year deal, same as most of our Keebra boys from last year. Surely with all the releases being made in the top squad it's being communicated that the kids are all going to get a chance to impress and the team will be picked on form not reputation…!
 
He is in the player profiles for NYC which has been updated by the club. Speaking of which. The first row of NYC player profile are guns I hope we keep them all. Hopefully that's why we not signing anyone to keep them
 
Has anyone recognized him training from the pre season video our Club has shown last week on there Official Website or any of the photos ?
I really don't know what he looks like by face . We have that many Polynesians in the Under 20's it's hard to identify who is who sometimes , they all have the same type builds :laughing:
 
Hope we don't lose him, this is one backrower we do need to hang onto.

Good news for now , but as we all know that could change at any time . I think deep down he would know he's got a better chance cracking 1st Grade with us than the Bulldogs .
