Gus sacked Pascoe as well, so I don't think that he would go back.
 
Why would he go to a team that sacked him and that's basically run by Gus when he can have the say in who comes and goes at the Tigers?
 
This really puts unwanted pressure on Ivan.
Youd have to think with this move Gus has advised Nathan (and therefore Ivan) of his plans re: replacement coach.
No doubt some of our players will be wondering whats going on and whats the future hold?
 
Fittler could tempt young Cleary to stay on especially after having a taste of SOO.
There is definitely a reason Gus has made the move 4 weeks before the finals and it has to be the last ditch effort to hold on to Nathan Desperate times call for desperate measures.
 
I think Fittler will keep coaching NSW as he just signed a new contract with them.

Barrett seems the most likely

My thoughts as well. Fittler with his history at the club and his SOO connection is the perfect choice and is probably the only coach that Nathan would postpone his reunion with Ivan for. My view is that Nathan will re-sign with Panthers and Dad and son will end up at the Roosters or similar at the end of Nathan's next contract. Ivan will resign at the Tigers to coincide with that date.
 
Freddy is no chance imo. Unless he relinquishes his Blues role. I don’t think the NSWRL want their Blues coach coaching at club level. Pretty sure it’s prerequisite.
 
360 Buzz plays a very short recording of Gus talking on the phone today and saying that Griffin lost the support of the players and staff.

Ivan is signed until end of 2020\. He would have to break his contract as i don't think WT would release him. There would be an almighty stoush in court and i would imagine WT would argue that Gould and Penrith were up to their necks in Ivan breaking his contract and would sue accordingly.
The other option is more a long term view - they have already signed Ivan from 2021 and will offer Nathan a 5 yr deal from 2020\. But that is totally left field and highly unlikely.

Is it though?? I am not sure. If it is then maybe Bennett is the plan.
