He’s been good but sometimes current form is not the only factor in selection of rep teams. Over the years coaches tend to stick with players who’ve performed until they reach a point where they have to be dropped.
I think a lot of eyes will be on Teddy in game one and if we lose, you may find he doesn’t make game 2. If we win. he’ll survive.
Of course, the reemergence of Turbo and Fox today changed things as well. Assume it must have been anticipated by Fittler.

TPJ would be paying about $1.02 to get sin binned. He will play like a cut snake.

Edwards has been great but no chance Teddy is dropped if he isn’t captain. This is probably the slowest start to a season ever for Teddy but it’s SOO and he has been the most consistent high performer for NSW over the years. He stays just on that basis. If he has a shocker then he might get dropped but would take abit for him to be replaced.
Besides if he is out Latrell or Turbo probably plays fullback anyway. Edwards doubt will hit SOO ever.
I'll tell you how he gets picked....Gus asked and he did Gus a favour...Gus is always going on how the Bulldogs are "doing the right thing as a club". and pumping their tyres......This selection just gives him more ammunition in that say.

But u have a friend who attended the Panthers simmons cup ceremony [it was a conference as well] last week, Ivan was there along with some riff players...a question got thrown out from the crowd asking Ivan if he is confident they can go for a 3peat ,his words were "we will give it a red hot crack, but we have lost api so it's going to be alot harder for us to do so. He then proceeded to say how he thought souths were a great chance to win this year
