I wrote on here a long time ago that Api is this generation's Cameron Smith. Got laughed at. He can control a game as well as Smith and even has a kicking game just like him. I genuinely think he is that good.

Depends on how Api pulls up after SOO1 as Sheens may name him on the bench and give him limited minutes. Simpkins only got a run on Saturday night at the back end of the game and Api stayed on.

Didn't have to wait 13 years for Steve Smith to make a call on him being the best since Bradman. We knew like 5-6 years in. Api is also that good, not far off Cameron Smith. He may not win a premiership here, but he will dig us out of this hole. Remind me in a few years if he achieved nothing here. In fact, I bet NSW will win the series with him as a star. Smith is the greatest player ever. He should be the next immortal. Penrith were coming for them in the second half of the 2020 GF. He calmed them down and won them the game.

A prime example is Api holding the 9 for NSW is absolutely massive for the Club. It shows & entices players they can keep their rep jerseys if they sign with the tigers. Well deserved reward for the skipper. Stoked for Big Stef too.

It's a possibility. He's still too young to contemplate retirement. Would need to get through at least one more contract. In the pre-season he was talking about how Robbie Farah was teaching him things he hadn't even considered. Sounds like he still wants to learn and play the game.

Amazing to watch this bloke go about his business in person yesterday. Particularly on the defensive side of the ball. He did not stop running all game, tackles so hard for a smaller bloke. But also just organises the middle so well.
We are so lucky to have him.
