Apisai Koroisau #263

We should have been answering this question a few seasons ago. We had a good potential captain in Stefano.
I think our leadership issues are linked to club trust and loyalty, they recognise this and hence the “injection of DNA” but it needs more than that. It needs strong leadership and governance from the boards.
Stephano is not captain material in any shape or form. If he was, he'd have been busting his backside week in and week out for his club, leading by example, and 'getting up' those guys who weren't putting in. What he gave us, however, was a limp wristed impression of a real front rower. Pathetic.

gee yeti, you’re sounding like a board member. If Stefano was as bad as you describe then doesn’t say much for our other forwards. He was our best in pretty much every aspect of the game. I appreciate that he didn’t meet your expectations, I’m with you on that.
He was so frustrating to watch sometimes when he broke tackles always looking to offload and had no support. That will not happen in Melbourne.
I don’t think there is another middle in the game who can do what he does in that area.
Richo must have tried everything to stop him from leaving. Unfortunately it was all for nothing, the outcome was inevitable when Madge wouldn’t have him in the Blues squad.

2040 I hope you have thrown away your rose coloured glasses.

He was and has been nothing but unfulfilled potential whilst at the tigers. 1 origin game in a dead rubber doesn't make him an amazing player.
Samuela and Pole had better seasons than him.
So he wasn't our best.

Stefano a follower, not a leader in my opinion. Talk always costs less than action.

😂 If we don’t get our act together by this time next year then it’s highly possible Richo will be congratulating Stef for winning a GF.
No way in the world would Richo do something as dumb as that, I mean what justification would you have for coming out with such an outlandish suggestion.

IDK? Maybe I have a suspicion that the congratulatory remarks re Brooks were a sign of frustration from Richo. Stage whispers to the board?
This seems to be the way things are done at the club.
