OFFICIAL Apisai Koroisau #263

Not sure what the plan for Haywood is, but he’s probably projected to play sometime for us next year at some stage… I’m actually surprised he hasn’t debuted yet with our obsession of playing juniors early

I gotta tell ya mate ..after watching Maka this year ..it’s hard for me to ever get excited again about some hyped up kid ,,,

Gotta see it in the top grade to believe it

At Api's age he definately needs a break from 80 minutes on the field but that is ALL in the hands of the coaching staff and the bench rotation. He will only do what he is told to do.

Moses Suli..Junior Tupou..Makisini

It’s a worrying trend eh?

Jared Haywood is a very confident kid and I know the club has a very high opinion of him especially in leadership qualities, hopefully we don’t screw up his development

Is Haywood physical enough to be throwing him out there ?
Seems to hold his own against cup guys

He’s a real live wire in attack though. Reminds me of Damien Cook at his peak, quick off the mark

Like you say though, means nothing unless he does it in the NRL. Maybe he gets a chance off the bench when our season is officially dead

Watch us bring him in too early and stuff it all up

He’s a shot duck, old and tired and we will lucky to get 3 more good games from him between now and the end of the season, particularly if he keeps playing 80mins.
He is getting rag dolled when defending due to his lack of size and ageing body, he is struggling to identity which side of the field and which players are needing the ball and more and more of his passes from dummy half are too high which is taking away from our playmakers time to make a decision.
Not the player he once was unfortunately.
Mate, you have the hottest takes on this forum by some margin. I genuinely can't fathom how you arrive at some of your opinions. You're entitled to them by all means, but most of them leave me scratching my head. This one is no exception.

Too early to judge his defence against men. Only had 6 games off the bench in Reserve Grade and made a total of 91 tackles (at 87% efficiency).

Has shown some good signs in attack. Let’s hope he is given time.

He seems to be a reliable defender, but generally prefers to catch them rather than drive with his shoulder.
He seems very switched on which means he is capable of making any adjustments that are required.

People won’t admit it, but api was close to our worst player yesterday

His service from dummy half is really sloppy, and his slow jinky deception stuff really doesn’t fool anyone. Maybe the origin stuff has really affected him because I thought he was pretty average against the dolphins aswell
Okay. He had a shocker. Maybe the worst game any player has played for us all season. There you go. Guess what, one shocker doesn’t discount the fact he’s carried this team on his back the last 3 years or so. When you do that, you get leeway from having one shocker.

lol I knew this was coming eventually… yes he’s still our best option at 9 by a mile currently but it’s not crazy to suggest we need to start looking at options for post Api

Haywood is minimum 12 months away and about 5-6 kgs to light, needs a season in KOE cup before first grade selection.
Agreed but can see him playing some NRL later next season as #14. His ability to cover halves will be useful.

Big couple of months ahead for Josese imo. If he shows he's up to NRL off the pine, it could catapult him into top 30 (from a T&T next season) as Api's deputy. I think Hope will be goneski.

If not, we'll have to look at more dummy half coverage like a Tyson Smoothy but I'm backing in Josese.

We have Joese and Bailey Hodges, the club needs to change tact and let them develop properly before we rush them in.
Hodges is a very good player so let us see what he can do.

Very true. Big fan of Hodges. He has something our NRL squad lacks and that is smarts. So good defensively too. Hopefully he's back in NSW Cup team list this week.

You are the Keith Lulia of the forum. You've got one 4 try game in you amongst the 99% mediocre performances.

This comment was your 4 try game sir.

Do you know technology has advanced so much in this day and age that there is an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the tunneling electron microscope? It’s so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building block of our universe. If I were using that microscope right now... I still wouldn't be able to locate my care factor in your opinion of me.

So much so that you responded. Take the compliment Keith.
