If we've re-signed Liddle then he should be the primary hooker for the next couple of years until Simpkin is ready to challenge him, or in the event he shows he's not up it. Koroisau is better than Liddle right now but it's not a massive upgrade and if we were to sign Koroisau it would make the recent re-signing of Liddle a pretty dopey move. We'd have either one wasted in reggies or both playing limited minutes and consuming a bench spot in first grade. Neither have great utility outside of halves cover (Koroisau) as they're fairly small-bodied.
I think what our roster needs more for the bench is a lock/hooker rather than a hooker/half (Korosiau). Find or develop someone to perform a role like B Smith/Tevaga/Radley/Murray/Reece Robson.

Signing Koroisau would not make me api. With Liddle re-signing I would rather have 4 forwards on the bench and spend the money elsewhere.

Newcastle have shown of late what a marquee youngster can do to attract others to their club.

You mean build a disppointing side that starts the season well but fades out of finals contention mid-season; can't beat the top teams? That Rigers can beat at home even when Rigers are not playing well?

Knights 2019 are just like the Tigers, but with a better roster on paper.

Simpkin is at least 2 years away. Api And Liddle would be a solid combo for 2020.

Mbye surprises me. Madge made him captain- must rate him
