Apparently it's ok to crawl another 5 metres.....

It occurred more than just before the 1st try. It was getting on ridiculous. Its a real problem because it puts markers out of play.

Yeah completely agree. I was going to post the same thread. As said above before the opening try the Raiders crawled about 5 metres but they were walking off the mark regularly in the opening half.

It wasnt exactly subtle was it…he could have gone another 10metres and still would hav got away with it

I was waiting for the penalty to be blown. Lots of players take a metre or two, but to stumble a metre forward, then crawl another five was going way too far. 😕

I was waiting for a penalty too, bad display again from the men in pink, thought we were going to get dudded again

It's called the Campo crawl. Apparently that's how Campo hurt his knee. So ain't karma a bi***.

HAHAHA!!! Excellent work!!!

I was definitely going off about it. You could see on the replay after the try. He was tackled well behind one line (was it the 20 or the 30?) then the next replay showed him playing the ball well in front of the next line. JOKE!!!

it happens in all games now days bloody disgrace why there is no clamp down the refs have gone soft . if you watch how many players walk forward taking the marker out of play and then impeded the dummy half its a joke the best at it is souths if you watch issac luke he is the best at taking advantage . back to last night the player playing the ball was holding on to the marker many times stopping him being able to defend may be we need a 3rd ref to help the 2 dills . :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

there was a really good refs call a while back where someone tried to crawl forward and play the ball with big KG (ithink) in the way. They tried for an offside marker so the ref penalised them for incorrectly playing the ball from the tackle mark. It was exactly like that try last night but maxwell is a dhead so what'yah know…

it's gotta change because it's seems a deliberate ploy to take the markers out of the play. last nights was the worst i've seen this year though, he just kept crawling

I was starting to think that the "walking off the mark rule" had been deleted without me being aware of it. Not even the "experts" in the commentry team pick it up any more. When is some-one going to bring it to the attention of the referees?

It wasn't just them walking off the mark, once they got to their feet, on several occassions they'd push the mark square i nchest moving him off his spot. Isn't that what Tiquiri got penalised for a few weeks ago?
all of a sudden it's ok to do it as long as it's against the Tigers..

It's been happening all year, every second player does - you can't start blowing penalties for it now.

Next year it will have to be fixed, it is a joke.

at gosford earlier this year watmough got penalised for walking off the mark. loved it… wish they enforced it more often
