Are they playing for the coach?

The thread title speaks for itself. They gave up today, pretty obvious. 2 players have already walked out mid contract the last two years. Whose to say there aren’t even more unhappy players in the ranks. Though at this point are they even worth losing? Do they even care? If not, why? I’m sure this thread will ruffle a few feathers, but tough

Was willing to give Madge time to clean out "the soft underbelly" but this is his 3rd season.
Roster has gotten better but performances are worse.

Thinking were in a bit of trouble.
Even if we sack him were in for another 3 year rebuild

Re-builds are beyond this club. We don't have it in us.

Have to agree. How many have we had since 2005? What’s the point anymore? The term deadwood has been used so many times over the years, it’s lost all meaning.

I don't think Bellamy could fix our rabble of a club. We've turned over the roster just about twice, we've changed coaches, nothing seems to make a difference. We just keep churning out the same garbage.

Think we need Bellamy or Bennett to turn the ship around.

Maybe one of them will feel sorry for us

I really don't know how to fix the loser culture at the club. No matter what coach or what players they just don't have their heads in the game, one thing goes against them and they give up

I don't know if they are playing for the coach or if the team has the right game plan or they are well drilled. They don't look well coached do they. They look tentative and lacking class. Sure there are some good points but overall we look second rate.

It's disappointing when the whole bus mantra saw them lift. Added to the fact it was mostly a team of reserve graders.

Only lasted half a season. After that it was back to normal programming

But I think it had more to do with the quality of the team tbh. Couldn't sustain it - the effort.

Someone only mentioned the other day how a team consisting of Rochow, Lolohea etc could beat the Roosters and Storm (twice in a month).

Your guessing stuff, you like all (most) of us have no idea what happens behind the scenes?

Though the only measurement in our game is winning, imo, but we still have a lot of games to go? I’m not panicking yet.

Yes they are.
- Garner was much better defensively this week - didn't miss a tackle.
- Stefano is already getting better. 38 minutes this week, up from 33 last.

Just a few players who are dragging the chain. The Leilua brothers were really bad today. I think Joey makes his brother play worse.

One other thing I noticed was Liddle running a lot more. As bad as the team was, there were definitely some players trying hard to fix things they struggled with last week, on the coaches advice I'm sure

We're not that far away IMO. Most of the problems are caused by small issues like ruck speed and a single player not doing their job in a structure at a particular time. Can be fixed quickly, and once it clicks we'll be all good.

Who else is available? It's going to cost a fortune to pay Madge out, we need to ride this year out and see if Mr Bryden put some iron clad kpi in his contract... something stinks

How many do you think are dragging the chain??
If its 7-8 we have a problem, if its 2 or 3 we can fix it.
