hey, long time lurker here, just wanted to chime in to say this is quite an interesting thread to watch as a spectator.

have you tried getting funky with the criteria for future versions?

like maybe adding a 'salary cap'/budget so your fantasy 17 man side can't have over combined 750 career tries or have played combined over 2000 NRL games or something like that.

would definitely make things more complicated but would also add a lot of strategy and make it far easier to separate teams/players at the end as it seems a lot of people think all the sides will be way too similar in strength.

someone like Anthony mundine would become super valuable in that scenario. would add a cool dimension.

Wish you were voting mate, (I have Mundine this round)

You can gladly take my spot

haha Geo I don't want to come across as criticising the voting system before it's even happened, will certainly stick around. great work running this btw.

I just mean like personally it doesn't matter how much you rate Mundine compared to his peers, he played half the career games as Fittler/Daley but nobody could say he was only half as good as them could they. and therein lies the value of him picking him in my scenario where there's a career game cap on the teams.

and suddenly you have an unpredictable draft system. like Andrew johns was always gonna be first picked in this wasn't he - it'd be cool if that was more up in the air.

anyway i'm sure it'd take a lot more research time to run that kind of draft. but yeah food for thought

carry on!

She said you’re a dope with no idea ?

The only decent player you’ve got is Ainscough and Mrs Happy picked him
???

My Mrs saw your team and asked me did you understand the concept of this comp ...druggos .....has beens and never wills she said

Preemting johns for a 1 ..that’s ok
Bring it on ..I’ll still kick your arse !

??? gold. Let’s rename it Happy vs Hobbo

$10 for Johns (Hobbo) to take out Jamie Goddard (iirc, Happy?)... good value
