Made a comment on Twitter about the charity shield being the first trophy he's won in a while.

Yep, you seem totally over it Robbie….

He tweeted this himself?

Serious?

Even posted a pic on insagram…

Jokes on Robbie, tries in trial matches don't count for end of season nudie runs. Next he will be claiming tries scored at training..

Won't take him long to get another…. unfortunately I reckon it would be worth it to put a few bob on him to score against us.

The truth probably lies somewhere in between. My problem is with those who believe every negative thing ever written or reported about Farah as being gospel, and yet at the same time denounce everything else written about WTs from the same sources as being baseless, or without fact, or issued with some
vendetta with the club.

People don't actually do that, you just keep saying that's what they do.

The Club credibility could be questioned when they allow their coach to attempt to force an injured player to play in a position that could further damage his broken hand. The players are not WW1 cannon fodder.

I've seen this theory raised a few times. Have I missed Robbie claiming this (I'm sure he would if it was true), or is it another tinfoil hat conspiracy?

It's an especially strange claim as hookers make more tackles than second rowers, so how would it be damaging his hand? I suspect a dented ego was more the case.

My recollection is of him addressing it later in the year and was something along the lines of Farah saying that he refused to on the basis that he would struggle defending at centre because of injury.

You're right and part of the conversation with the trainer Was picked up by a microphone .
. And it was quite reasonable to be able to be more use in the middle rather than centre ,as he could at least get his body in front of a forward in close, whereas he could be stepped or ran around a lot easier one on one by a centre ( as JTs Other master stroke of putting Lovett in the centres showed ).

sounds like a steaming pile of BS to me

Each year it hurts me, not seeing wests tigers play in the finals.
3 appearances only, from 17 attempts. …
Speaks for itself.

Robbie might even back himself as first try scorer …..

As a Wests Tigers tragic it hurt seeing all the disruption over the years. No player is bigger than the team. Seeing him in green and red stripes is worth every dollar we're still paying him.

If it is true that he was being forced to play in a position that would have further damaged his already-broken hand than it was not him causing the toxicity. Maybe someone else should have been sacked that day.

So he was forced to play with a broken hand throughout the period of at least two WT coaches who incidentally both created a toxic environment.
Hmmm, something for me to ponder.

Would be great to see him break an even longer trophy drought this year. Lifting the intrust cup in a North Sydney jersey will be a great media spectacle.

:roll

Yeah, sad way to leave but its best for both parties when relationships get to a point where they are irreparable .
Anyone know if he still has the Norton St. Restaurant?,haven't been down that way for some time.

I think that BBF was talking about one specific incident, not the entire existence of the WTs.
Hope you ponder on what was actually written as you seem very confused :blah

You do what the coach asks you to do, if not you play in reserve grade. Simple. I don't care who you are, the coach runs the team. Wether you agree or not. And that's been our problem years. It's like the old saying" the customer is always right" doesn't matter if you agree or not. Your a player, that's it. You want to be a coach, be a godamn coach.

It is this attitude why I included the quip that players are not WW1 cannon fodder - during that war if an injured soldier was quite saveable but would it be a lengthy recovery and not be on the battlefield for weeks then they were denied medical treatment (maybe painkillers only if had any?) and left to die. I know from experience from someone very close to me that hands can be very difficult if not impossible to fix properly if abused too much or in a certain manner - that person's only love was playing classical piano that become impossible. I consider it abuse for a person in an authoritative positon to deliberately and knowingly risk more serous injury to an important sensitive part of the body of another person.

But I could be completely wrong and it was only a dispute as to what position RF could effectively defend at.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't play classical piano any more because you used your hands in a certain manner to abuse yourself too much but I think that's a separate issue…

Not many 100% fit players running around by mid season… Most carry an injury of some sort

There's been enough drama surrounding this ex player and our coach... Absolutely pathetic some will fabricate even more... Typical

If you'd bother reading the (actually written) initial post I referred to a long period of disruption. BBF then selectively chose one incident in order to muddy the waters and misdirect. Hence my reply. Blah indeed.

Carried a busted back for years, effecting 30/40 tackles a game and never complained, asked to defend out wide with a sore hand and all of a sudden it's an issue? It's a convenient argument…

We're getting a bit precious here aren't we? As Ink says most players carry niggles. It's Rugby League not lawn bowls. Arguably the most physically demanding sport on the planet. Matt Utai played with a broken arm once. IIRC one of the Morris boys played an origin game with a ruined shoulder. That is what makes Rugby League players.

Possibly the first moments of the first game our boys don't want to thump their ex-player mate too strongly so Robbie just may skirt over for first try of the game - I think I will put some money on it. But wanting to see Teddy and Moses work their magic and get the wins they strive hard for so hope the WT win.

Why not, he is wearing different colours so fair game. I don't think it will even be a consideration he has the ball they will go after him.

It may even be a motivation to hit him harder. I smashed and got smashed by some of my best mates when playing.

Farah playing for the Rabbits…...Benji playing in Qld Cup.........funny to see our 2 so called legends basically run out of the club in the manner they were.

Still.......they brought a lot of it on themselves.....but still a little sad.

In the end no player is bigger than the club or the game. Even the greats like Andrew Johns, Lockyer and so on.....once they have been out of the game for 5 plus years....you almost forget about them altogether.

There's always the next batch of good players coming through.
