I thought it was great (and surprising) that they are self aware - both of the media (I.e being linked to every of contact player in the NRL)
And what the team lacks (leadership and speed)

I would hope that the guy in charge of our recruitment could identify what areas we lack. The guys we have leading the club now will get us out of this hole.

However, I think it is a great initiative from the club.

When we actually get competitive with our NRL squad, we will become one of the great clubs

I kinda think the nrl squad is just a reflection of the club.

I’m starting to see Justin Pascoe differently. Must admit to being indifferent to his stumbling errors of judgement during his first couple of years, but he is starting to get his mojo imo. Hartigan is very impressive. Great to see the club first of all recognising the the organisation’s skills deficiencies, then recruiting to fill the gaps. Similar to what they’re now doing with the squad.

I was responding to Geo's suggestion that the reason there wasnt a Thread for Ep 2 was it was all going to be put in the other thread, but as I pointed out that that thread was titled EP1 and it would make more sense putting Ep 2 discussion in a thread titled E2 than Ep1.

Clearer?

A shame they didn't actually answer the question on Flegg. No mention why SG Ball players are training with the NRL squad yet older and more developed players aren't.

If it's covid related then say so, but our elite juniors should be training with the NRL squad seeing they're far closer to first grade than 17 and 18 year olds are.

hahaha - I guess Des is suggesting that if momentum is stopped, you're left with things at that moment in time, without the ongoing forward progress. Who knows what he means?!
