The reaction of the Roosters and Eels is an indication of how ruthless clubs treat other clubs in the name of trying to win a premiership. They don't do solids for anyone nor should they. I hope WTs management remember this treatment when the time comes.

Perhaps we shouldn't have done the Roosters any favours and when they came skulking back to us saying "ah sorry, you can have him now" we should've said "nah that's ok, we are happy to wait until next year" to bugger them up as far as freeing a spot up in their roster went. Unfortunately we are very short on talent so we had to jump at the chance.
Hopefully the kid can be a Daniel Tupou mk2.

Roosters rarely put a foot wrong (apart from being compulsive cheats) so I really don’t understand letting a young hopeful go for an old bloke who hasn’t played NRL for 6 years. And only for a few games. Wrong move imo.

This! Many times this. He spent the last 2 years in ru injured or on the bench. He is spent.

Apparently his form for the Wolfpack was very ordinary, he even got Booed by their fans.
So hopefully that form will continue for the Rorters.

We had signed the young kid for next year anyway. They're only losing the young kid for the rest of the season. Unless they get even more injuries, (fingers crossed) with no Reserve Grade, they probably won't miss him.

I have never seen the kid play , but as many say the Roosters don't lose players they want to keep and they are releasing him for someone who is over the hill for maybe 10 weeks

Hope he is our next superstar in saying that

Remember that we now have the Roosters recruitment guy. They can't keep everyone.

We've scored plenty of decent players off the Roosters in the last few years.

To be fair we have a 35 yr old Benji on 200k and he is almost leading the Dally Ms, given SBW is only available for 25% of the season then 50k is about comparable

As for SBW great player on his day at 35 playing in the forwards bit of a task more a bench player if signed, interesting the Roosters will do anything for a 3 peat.
I really hope there depth keeps getting tested each week, although they will use that as an excuse.
