Agree Trajic, but it was rusty cage post i was refering to.

I agree, I guess my point is I think Manly will need a hooker and Im not sure we can hang onto two top shelf 9s. If we could, we'd be the first. If Simpkin turns out to be as good as touted, is it even remotely possible that they both stay?

The Storm had 3 on contract and still do I believe.

Simpkin hasn't played FG yet has he? Wont we have to wait and see, in saying that reports suggest he is up for it, but may the better man win the spot. Though we still need a 9 in second grade?

Ths storm had the Cheat, B smith as a back up and Grant coming through hoping to have B Smith switch to lock. Now the cheat has gone, or seemingly so, the other two aren't altogether going to happily work in conjunction with each other as a 9. Look at the conjecture in recent months. Its still not 100% certain how things are gonna pan out.

The Cheese wanting a release to play hooker. Was only a matter of time. Looks like Melbourne have gone Harry over Brando

now is the time to make our play for brandon, especially when we are being held in a positive signing light for players

spot on we have the new Zealand test coach
sign Brandon
understudy sumpkin
let go of Liddle

not sure ozluke but we probably couldn't keep Liddle Simpkin and Brandon Smith

Cheese is done deal at the dogs full-stop. Insideman posted weeks ago that dogs had signed either grant or the cheese he was unsure of which one. With this development it is clear they have signed the cheese. Come round 1 next year simpkins will be our starting 9 not liddle

Simpkin is the 9 we are a rebuilding club. I said last year before a ball was played Grant would be our best player and Simpkin is superior at the same age. He’s 12 months away but if we sign a player road blocking his development he will leave. Rookies are always risky but the kid is a great prospect. Liddle isn’t close even now being older.

Also what we got , which can’t be underestimated , is a lot more indigenous in the top 30. Which is a good thing as I wonder how we might have suffered with the optics of this over the last 5-10 years.

You’re right mate I’ve been thinking about this very thing a lot of late. The vast amount of indigenous talent seems to bypass us majority of the time to south’s. I’m glad the club has acknowledged this and from all reports and recent signings have gone a long way to try and rectify this. We shouldn’t be a club that shunned by these very talented young men any longer, we should embrace create pathways and become an attractive destination for the players. Long may it continue.

It was very evident, very noticeable.
For every other club to at least have a couple of indigenous players and for years we had none... I've questioned this a few times in the past

With Ron Griffiths as part of the coaching staff the attraction to the West's Tigers will only get better

100%, I have questioned our engagement with indigenous players in the past. I mean we have always been a hot place to go for the polynesian lads, but we have always struggled to lure indigenous talent.

Honestly, Momo and Eisenhuth are good signings for Penrith. Eisenhuth is solid player which you still need in a side. Would have come cheap and while I think he may not make the top 17 every week, he will not be out of place and do a job. Momirovski will probably find himself in the same position and will probably not play FG unless there is an injury which perplexes me as to why he was ready to leave us.

On paper we got the better deal by a long stretch though. Time will tell though.
