At what point does goalkicking become a crisis?

Maybe you should read tigersnumberone's post again…It is a problem.....

Is this supposed to be some sort of intro to a deep and meaningful yet witty response to the topic at hand, youve said this twice now…lets have the punchline.

Its def a problem.

His kicking is down from last year.

He isnt hitting them as sweetly as he used to.

PS…..that missed kick on the weekend really hurt us.

Make 12-4,12-6 and its a different game.

PRECISELY.

Did anyone see Cameron Smith's reaction to the kick that he missed that would have put the storm only 6 behind on Monday night? The Australian and QLD hooker new that it probably cost his team a real shot at the game. He was filthy on himself and Bellamy was filthy at him in the rooms. It changed the whole game. Melbourne dropped their bundle.

This is the same situation. Those 2 points win ball games and improve for and against for the end of the season.

We need someone who can kick them. Thats the bottom line.

what do you consider a satisfactory kicking %? 75%?

so hes kicking at 57% now, so hes down 18% on what we would call a satisfactory to very good %age.

so hes is only missing 1 out of every 5 kicks that he "should" make from his 75% "satisfactory" goal kicking %

Its not just his percentage.

He is shanking kicks that he used to kick so sweetly.

His style looks different…...and it isnt working.

Im terrified every time he takes a kick and with good reason.

I hope he and JT are hard at work on this.It really is crucial.

What about when his low kicking % has also meant instead on a 12 point lead with 10 minutes to go, we only have an 8 point lead. The keeps the opposition in the game with a sniff of possibility.

80%+ is the standard acceptable percentage for a pro NRL player

so michael gordon and who else kick at 80% or better?

Dunno…off you go & find out!

well you are the one singing the song about 80% being an "acceptable" standard, so list all the current NRL goal kickers who kick at 80% or better for their careers?

Dont need to back it up…im confident & comfortable and NOT talkin crap unlike you who reckons 50ish% is no problem.
