I can definitley see Tedesco not seeing much FG next yr. One of the reasons why Moltzen got a new contract

tdesco played like 20min got injured and everyone thinks he his billy slater everyone talks him up what if next year he starts in Toyota cup plays bad and never makes 1st grade or get injured again

In my humble opinion James Tedesco is one of the most naturally talented fullbacks I have seen at this stage since Billy Slater or Karmichael Hunt

The only thing that will stop him is injuries and from speaking to people who know him well he is an extremely hard worker on the training track and is why Sheens has a huge wraps on him

I can't wait till you get back Teddy and throw eggs on a lot of people's faces once you get 18 months behind you

over the course of the year, there will be a number of blokes out at various stages, we need all the blokes to play at various stages

Yep exactly… It's okay to speculate on our best possible team and who will miss out but very rarely have we been able to consistently field a full strength team since 2005\. Someone like Curtis Sironen might be on the bench for our full strength side but if Moltzen or Tedesco are out he can easily slot back in. I'd even think he could play centre should it come to that.

Let's just hope we can keep a reasonably fit side and have some competition for 1st grade spots.

Exactly right. At full strength it's hard to see where we'll fit everyone, but there will be injuries and everyone mentioned will play a big role.

I remember watching Blair last year at this time thinking I don't know what the buzz is about. Unfortunately watching Anasta the last 6 weeks I get the exact same feeling. if everyone plays well Anasta won't see lots of game time, but they won't, so he too will play lock, 2nd row and in the halves at various stages throughout the year.

To have a good 2013 it's critical that pettybourne, Thompson and BBM provide some punch off the bench.

Coming from a guy who continually talks up John Grant to play FG :roll

yeah I guess it will all depend on how well people train in the off season, what combinations start to form etc

Fullback, one of the halves, backrow and the bench, all up for grabs.

The Moltzen signing is the one that really has me puzzled.

Tedesco should be our first string fullback. Should he be injured or out of form, move Beau there as we have plenty of depth in the outside backs. Could even use Humble there at the start of the season as I think Teddy should/will be brought back through the lower grades.

Sironen and Anasta will make up the other half spot with Benji. Or again, we could use Humble there if need be and he'd do a more than capable job of it.

I seriously don't see where Moltzen fits into a THREE year plan given the two positions he plays in are taken by 19 year olds who should hold those spots for years.

have people not seen Moltzen support play at fullback? I know hes dodgy under the high ball and in defence, but Ryan or anyone else we have had back that would not have scored those 3 trys Saturday night, he actually backs up in supprt.

It's only taken him 23 weeks to start doing it… His support play in the Panthers game was embarrassing for a first grade fullback.

Give me Tedesco any day

Moltzen and Anasta are getting paid to play 1st Grade they will be fullback and 5/8 in round 1 in 2013.

Tedesco back up Fullback and Sironen back up 5/8 are still elligable for under 20's and should start the season there and get their confidence back before a call up on the bench.

He backs up Benji Golden. 2 of his 3 tries were from running off Benji, so he clearly has an excellent understanding with him which is great, but overall his support play could drastically improve if he sniffs around the ruck more and trails players who have an offload in their game.

For me the team would be:
Tedesco, Koroibete, Lawrence,Thompson, Grant, Anasta, Marshall, Fulton, Blair, Ben Murdoch, Galloway, Farrah, Woods. Bench Players: Moltzen, Ashyford, Ryan, Pettebourne, Uti, Bell and Sirro.
Bench Players used as required.

Good team Tiger Jim.

No one really knows what Sheens has planned for Miller. He has stated that in his opinion Koro is not ready for first grade and would drop him back if he could. The same could be the case for Miller. Sheens could have told him he is looking at him for next year so get some experience in NYC, a couple of games in reserves and you will get your chance.

If he is not re-signed then he is gone. However if they do sign him up for a couple of years then that is what has happened.

The coaching staff don't rate Miller. He's naturally talented but apparently struggles with structure and sticking to a game plan. I think they're happy for him to trundle away in the 20's to see if he comes good, but don't bet on it…

Exactly. We'd be so much more dangerous in attack if Woods was offloading to Moltzen instead of Cashmere
