Why should it?
Seems to me they're providing almost everything when they didn't have to and now you want them to change their name too

Seems a bit greedy to me

I can see why they want to retain some history & heritage... But if WA wanted to go WTs I'd be OK with it... I somehow think it wouldn't be all that simple

What's wrong with the club is them not providing their own licensed and branded premises when it had a chance some time back as well
Expecting another entity that's helped out immeasurably over the years to change their identity is too much.

It's like asking Merriton to change their name to WTs

that is why we are a fractured club in some respects.
We will wait and see what happens to old balmain leagues development but it would suprise me if a balmain tigers is somewhere on the front of the building
We wonder why as a club we will never move forward, I guess have to wait until all the old Magpies and balmain supporters are dead to move forward

Balmain went broke too many times to come out with the same business and brand.
They'd be crazy not to align with Wests Tigers - Especially in a couple years when we're humming again....

They went “broke” once. I don’t think the branding was the determining factor. That said, I think branding all clubs as Wests Tigers is the best way forward.

They sold out the Benny, Borrowed off the NRL, WA's bailed them out - And still vanished into nothing....
Might of only folded once, But been Broke for a long time, In hock to a few different parties....

I'm neither here nor there...
But whoever has been running the show there for the last however long needs to be shot.

Well with respect those of us who are or have been long term football and leagues club members are across the circumstances of these events. It had nothing to do with the name and everything to do with unfortunate circumstances, bad timing and poor advice. Your entitled to your opinion but most of the people responsible had the best interests of the club at heart and are respected individuals.

Why would they have a balmain tiger on wests ashfield - they have nothing to do with balmain tigers. As for the WT emblem on the club - that was the wests tigers emblem at the time it went up. -

meant wests ashfield should have the wests tigers emblem instead of the old wests tigers emblem, you know rebranding and all.
Just think if they do develop a new leagues club at balmain and they keep the same logo out front of WA then why not put a small balmain tiger logo out the front of the new balmain development

I thought that was what they were going to brand the club at the Rozelle site but that article doesn't say that - i have no idea why they would call the club Wests Ashfield Leagues.

not sure seems a bit strange, will be glad if we do get a club back there though

it is still wests ashfield and it has a tiger with black and white V
it should be the wests tigers emblem not anything different

No it shouldn't. Happy for a WT emblem on the end of the building but thats it. It's Wests Ashfield and it should always stay that way.
