I believe he deleted it because the Roarfeed app has a bug where a multiple quote post becomes almost completely unreadable.

But feel free to miss that point entirely

Combined colours you say Abe? is that why the other night at the SFS, the banners on the poles outside the ground were black and gold, no trace of white anywhere. Is that your definition of combined colours?

Wasn't at the SFS so cant say I know much about that.

But decorations on poles is hardly a determining factor of the club's identity I wouldn't think.

Are we going to talk about the size of the magpie on the sleeve next? Coz I think that's where this is heading.

I don't care about the size of the Magpie, tbh i don't care if it isn't there at all, so nice try pigeon holing me with the dinosaurs.

And no that isn't the only example, just look at the merch. 90% of the time in the media our colours are referred to as Black and Gold.

And this is the club's fault how exactly?

Pretty sure this argument about 'identity' has been done to death more than a few times already on here.

If media commentators, journos, and the bloke down the road with the missing testie want to call us 'black and gold' or 'tigers' without the 'wests' in front of it, its not something the club has any power over. We can't control people's personal perceptions.

Which brings me back to the original point, how would Balmain selling off part of their share reduce their 'identity' with the JV to become equal to the Magpies?

No, I didn't miss the point. How would anyone using Roar Feed even know that?

Maybe a friendly reply letting me know would have been appropriate. No need to delete comments so abruptly.

Stick your clicky little forum though.

So the club has no control over the merch they release? and colours they decorate with on game day?

Sorry to burst your bubble over the Magpie on the sleeve btw. Sounds as though you were getting ready to lecture me over that as well :rant

Well, actually I think the club does. It would have the final approval of any promotions, merchandise and playing strip. If this was to always include the colour white as a major component, over time the public perception would definitely change - that is how marketing works.

The club has been trying for years to correct the media representation.

They send out media packs with a reminder of how to address the team in terms of name but they are often ignored

Oh ok, so the club deleting the colour **Orange** from its **Tigers** merchandise is what your after?

And decorating poles in a different manner?

Great, glad we can move on.

And no need to apologise, if you have no problem with the magpie on the sleeve, then you don't need to be lectured. Just don't go second guessing me and making up scenarios in your head.

That doesn't mean anything if the poles outside the ground don't have white on them.

So what do the terrific 10 on the board do for a crust ??

I wouldn't know half of the them if I kicked them in the head (I meant to say tripped over them )

Might be able to crack out a joke about them

Lol who said anything about deleting Orange from the merch? I was talking about this club UTILIZING all 3 colours, something they more often than not balls up. I think i know who the one is making up scenario's in his head.

If I were being facetious I would say the poles are white.

in all seriousness though it is older equipment. We need to see where Mayer is going. He seems to be moving in a direction with a better representation balance in merchandise

Funny how the things you can't explain you just brush off as irrelevant

The club does UTILISE all three colours on Merchandise.

Should I post links to the team shop so you can see for yourself that the colour white does exist in Wests Tigers land?

Get over the inferiority complex mate, life isn't all that bad. Amongst all the turmoil and upheaval of the past weeks, your main concern is having a whinge about the % of white on the clubs merchandise FFS!

No it isn't, you brought the colour issue up i was responding.

And while you're on your high horse and so self assured of yourself, maybe you can tell me where i said the club should delete the Orange from their merchandise?

The colours for starters

Well your post above says otherwise ….

Now you can get on your own high horse, and ride off into the sunset.

Boys Enough…

Lets get back to the topic of selling off the club!

PM each other if you want to continue
