Yeah, I think **Beau hit his peak when he did Beau knows Benji.**…A real downward spiral since and he should give the TV career away...its all the same stuff...you can tell even on Fattys face he thinks the same...
 
I watched The Footy Show for the first time in I don't know how long last night just to see if anything has changed.
Sadly it has - the show is even worse and less funny (if that's possible) than before.
 
That was the worst footy show ever Even the King could not save it . Why don't they do around the grounds anymore was the only bit worth watching

Because they have people who can talk logically about the games on it Kul (Bar Benji of course ) Too much about trying (????) to be funny .
 
You either love it or hate it - obviously enough people still love it - commercial networks don't air dogs at 9:30 on a Thursday night.
 
Beau is massively hit and miss, parts are funny, at least he got a decent contract, the ronnie palmer character is no good, DJ Yella is ok, sometimes good, his best stuff is when he is himself.
The big Marn is much better on radio when he can just be himself, too structured for him

That is so true about the Big Marn….even my 12yo son said that the other day!.
 
Was too tired last night to watch, sounds like i didnt miss much anyhow after going to the pub for dinner and having half a dozen schooners of carlton draught once racing review on TVN was over (9.30) time for bed.

Really looking stale after tonight's desperate showing with Heighno. Beau has got to sit down and start thinking of some decent material to run with. Nuding up on the couch in front of Rowdy and Heighno and his Mrs and sitting down on the thunderbox while Heighno is in the bathtub just doesn't cut it as comedy as far as I'm concerned.
 
His material has definitely gone down hill.

The Footy Show in general is so poor, its not funny. Amateur hour would be too kind.
 
The point of Beau Ryan's comedy is that it is targeted at a teenage/young adult audience. And he deffinitely does this sucessfully, all his work including his latest stuff is hugely popular with this audience.

It is the Hey Hey it's Saturday of sports broadcasting!!!

People don't "love it" - it becomes a habit & they passively watch & ignore it's obvious faults!!!!!

Beau's skit was real funny tonight in parts, I found myself having a bit of a laugh….
Was better than expected.

Side note, Hey Hey It's Saturday is one of the worst Australian shows ever.
Only good Aussie shows are the 1st Underbelly & the Kings X John Ibrahim one and Heartbreak High.
Hahahahaha SNAP.
 
Whoever writes Beau's skits …. haven't been good lately . Footy show, people might say it rates well if it had "One week at a time ' up against it it would get flogged imo
 
You know when you watch a comedy and there's a funny gag, then when they make another movie in the series they put a cut back gag to the original joke and it doesn't seem funny at all. That's what Beau 2011 is like with the doggies. Time for him to get a new bit or focus on football.
