Beau Ryan at Tigers for 3 more years

I truly believe it's not the best news.

Would rather a Manu style strong and fast I understand Beau has a big heart but unfortunatly it ain't going to win us games would still love the Tank

Its also a question of managing a teams cap.

A player like Beau who loves the club and trains well, might come at a contract value that allows us to invest elsewhere.

Every team needs solid players like Beau to balance out the cap.

For me it is good news - but partly because we have another wing.

Beau has been playing well and is scoring, putting in effort, etc. And in the past he has won us games by finishing off solidly and i still remember the grubber kick at Leichhardt

A marque signing like Manu surely would have to replace Lote (when that happens).

Beau did mention in passing he took a pay cut - not sure if it was true or not….

Having said that, he'd be on a good wicket with "Gyngell" and Nine, and with Meriton.

Beau is one of those guys who may well be earning more off the cap than on.

Can't believe some good news, a good solid re-signing, and still there are some who can't take a positive out of it.

Thanks for staying, Beau.

He certainly wouldn't be short of a buck. I'd wager he and Benji would be eating up the large majority of the clubs third party cap.

I suspect their channel nine contracts wouldn't be considered an independent third party payments surely?

18 months ago I would have laughed if we signed Ryan for three years.

However, he's really turned into a very reliable and consistent player. Reliable and consistent: attribute you can't associate with most of our other players.

I thought the same thing when I heard it. But I'll look on the positive side for the moment, well done to Beau, congratulations, hard work paid off.

Well said.

Glad to see him staying, I'd say he brings a lot to WT.

My sarcasm detector is malfunctioning…

If so, who would you resign in front of him at the moment Ink?

His performances over the last season and a bit is warranted of a contract extension.

Yeh he probably deserves an extension, some of his efforts have been very good.
Personally, the crowd interraction is a bit of a yawn, kissing logos etc etc not my go….each to their own
He plays up to the crowd...thus these "I love beau" threads....but credit where its due, his footy backs it up for the most part.

Some here remind me of the tweens chasing the current boy band, all gushing and gooey :unamused:

Junior Moors has just about been the best player on the field in every game he's played this yr. Fat chance of him ever getting a 3 yr extention at the Tigers though

Good on the Beauster though, the guy has realy grown on me in the last 18 months
