BEEN A TIGER

I know this will piss of a lot of people but this what I believe as a TIGERS supporter.
I hate rep footy during the season as it stuffs up the regular season, the city - country game is only there for the NINE NETWORK T.V. deal. I love seeing our players in the state of origin games , but I hate it as well, as I know we have the highest injury toll of all the NRL clubs
A lot of people have had a say about brooks been pulled out of the 20s state of
origin but really he is our only 1/2 back in the club, could we really gamble with him.
It is a love hate relationship between letting players play or giving them chance of injuries so they cant play for there clubs next round .I don't know the answer is but as a one eye tiger supporter I don't want our players paying mickey mouse games during the season, sate of origin in different.

I'm guessing the title was meant to have read 'Being a Tiger' and his concern, as a Tigers supporter, has to do with rep games possibly adding to the already high amount of injuries the team has now and always seems to have season after season - please correct me if I'm wrong bp.

I see where you're coming from and I agree to an extent, but I also remember getting the 'tom tits', year after year, as to why none of our players were ever chosen in rep football! Now they are getting the deserved kudos I'm really happy for them, but I also hate that we end up so depleted for many rounds during a season and end up losing matches we most likely would've won at full strength. So I guess I'm in 2 minds about it. I just hope that with the better depth WT have this year, they will actually win some of those games understrength, like they did against Parra, and I'm praying for no more injuries this year - well at least no long term ones anyway.

Rep footy is a part of football every year. If we are lucky enough to have blokes selected then congratulations and good luck to them. I can think of fewer more selfish things to do as a club than to not let a player play rep footy. (I'm not referring to the Brookes situation).

You can be sure that any club who doesn't let rep players play in the rep games will soon get their wish, because no rep quality players will sign up to play for them.
