The number of back-liners who are contracted by the Tigers (not the Magpies) who are ahead of him - and are built for first grade unlike Ben - is ridiculous!!

Tuqiri - Tuiaki - Lawrence - Ayshford - Brown - Daniela - Ryan - Moltzen - McKinnon - Mullaney - Jake Clarke - Faleula Finau - even Nu Akeripa at a pinch!

It will take alot of injuries before Jeffery gets another shot in firsts! (Despite his 19 games for the Coast in 2008 - they never looked back when they unearthed Mead & Gordon!!)

It was only his DUI that cost him a possible contract extension - so while I want to stress that he is far from a bum (as some have suggested) - just like Piggy he is a long way off playing top grade given our quality roster!!

The guy is poor, watched him with a close eye for the Titans when he got a regular gig there, and he simply wasn't very good.

But he wont play NRL because the Fonz has not signed him. Doesnt matter if he plays like Brett Kenny, Fonz wont pick him.

From what I've seen of him he was half decent when he was at the tigers and was average at best while at the Gold Coast. As I've already said It's just a nothing signing IMO and he should stay in State Cup.

He played in the 1/2's in Group 20, 5/8 I believe… He was all over it like stink on a monkey!! Chip Chasing, Kicking Goals, Setting up Tries... He won't hurt the Magpies, And may just surprise a few of us?
