Woods normally plays about 30-35 minutes in his opening stint, which allows the team rotate props more infrequently. Without him next year we're going to have to carry at least 2 genuine props on the bench because I don't see either Mats or Packer doing that.

Time for an 80 minute hooker to free up a bench spot?

I think so. Liddle or MM might have to play a bit of ISP next year.

Aloiai and Sue con both play either front row or back row (though I'd prefer not to have Sue in the NRL team). Then we can have Marsters at 16, which leaves 1 more spot for an out and out prop.

Sue isnt going anywhere.
As I've said, he will dramatically improve next year with the addition of the tough kiwi boys.
Just like when Gavet and Taupau were here.

11\. Chris McQueen
12\. Josh Alioia
13\. Elijah Taylor

14\. Brenton Lawrence/ Albert Vete
15\. Alex Twal
16\. Esan Masters
17\. JJ Felise

As much as I respect Lawrence as a player…..... Imo he isn't a top 17 player, we shouldn't be picking him on the basis of being a veteran.

That bench is too inexperienced. Lawrence would be there ahead of probably Felise.

This doesn't look bad. I'm worried about Sue and who knows how Masters and Twal will perform but potentially this bench would work.

I think we will run with two hookers though. I don't think Liddle or McIlwrick are good enough to play 80 minutes consistently.

idk about who but 2x props and 1x backrower

and i wouldn't mind someone like MCK who can give you a bit of impact and also cover backs. I don't think we can carry 2 hookers in the 17 with 8 interchanges, esp with the HIA coz we could have an outside back go down and no one to cover him.
