Bench and half back verse souths

IMO these are the 2 glaring things that are costing us at the moment so lets put our thinking caps on and come up with something that someone with oh lets say 600 games experiencce SHOULD come up with
\

7\. Taumata - made his return last week will get another game this week so he will have fitness on his side, great ball runner and solid passing and short kicking game

14\. Flanagan - Done nothing wrong, has been one of our best all year can fill the utility role as well
15\. Fifita - Devestating forward, gives great impact
16\. Payten - Can play front and back row equally effective and at this stage of his career is a bench player but a darn good one
17\. Moors -When given game time this year i think hes been very good when used on the edges and not a bang em up front rower
\

there are other issues like fitzy being in the side but thats been done to death and its obvious it wont change, but if this bench is named to play souths we are in with a show again and i think taumata will do the job required at 7, i dont think lui will be back by next game so this is a great opportunity for arana

That's a bench I'd be happy with and I think I named that bench in my side to take on Souths, along with Taumata at 7, so no complaints from me, although I seriously doubt that Sheens will go with that bench.

So for your critcism of Sheens, the only change is bringing in a halfback who wasn't fit and swapping Brown for Moors which for me we dont need as our forwards were great and it just means less field time for our best forwards because who is Moors replacing when he comes on Ellis ? yet we have an injury in the backs we are stuffed the issue has been lack of cohesion and yes the lack of a halfback was an issue when your top 3 are out injured you have to do something and Lazarus and Waters have shown they arent up to it at this stage

no what this does is put players back in their rightful positions, moors comes on for heigno payten for fulton and both can act as props aswell, even though fulton and rhino can play 80 minutes there is no harm in them getting a 10-15 minute spell.

if you seriously think that the bench that was named last week is good then im sorry i dont have any more time to discuss this with you

I definately agree that Arana should get a run this week, think he should be second in line to Moltzen. In regards to Moors on the bench I think we would be better off putting another prop on the bench like David Fifita. As boonboon made the point we do not need another second rower as the can all play 80 minutes and we alreadyhave Flanagan on the bench.

Not convinced Arana can offer the service for Robbie & Benji as he is 'too' creative. Unfortunately, if Lui isnt fit, he should come into contention with another hit out for BRET. I'd incourage Fletcher to play him at 7 though to see how he combines with his 9 and 6?

As to the bench, 4 forwards is a must against Souths big mobile pack. I think we defend better as a unit with Payten on the field, so I would start him instead of Fulton, allowing Liam to use his speed game to its full potential when the time comes to rest Todd. It must be 2 props though, not 4 backrowers…

i agree with both points we have really 4 80 minute backrowers in thes squad (im sure flanno can do it if required) so no need to bring another backrower in the two props are fine and personally id go with someone like a florimo or corby and ideally taumata to play as a second dummy half and bring impact onto the field late into the game ala craig wing other than that halfback lui first than arana and if both out florimo i think he has a game that would suit benji he just doesnt have eperience.

benji needs someone that he trusts inside him at half and hooker to play at his best only trusts robbie at the moment but i feel he trusts lui not sure about taumata tho

im sure lui will slot straight back in 2 weeks.

He suffered a setback with his ankle, he's not sure thing to take on Souths.

Very good point. This was evident when Tim Moltzen moved to 7\. While I didnt think Moltz was playing that well, Benji played his best football then and I put it down to the fact he was standing wider with Moltz there…

exactly im 100% surre with laz there he didnt have faith in him to create something and with fulton at hooker he had no faith that something could be created around the ruck to free up space out wide yesterday. although fulton did a great job defensively attacking wise didnt offer much. benji would really appreciate a recognised 7 so attention of opposition can be on 3 rather than 2 people the ability to change a game is what a half really wants to possess and at the moment benji doesnt believe that can happen but with moltz he did

Thinking caps…. Hmmm well after watching Tuamata play...Yes he is a strong runner of the football......Passing game...NO his passing game left to right is average at best. ...Kicking game average so much so I don't think I seen him kick for BRET ...Lazo does most of it...Fitness and position well he came on with 10 mins to go in the first half played centre 5/8th wing anywhere but halfback..that was his first game in a month..don't know about the 2nd half I left to beat the massive crowds

If Sheens want to use him off the bench replace Waters...

As for the rest I agree pretty much

I would go with Akeripa over Moors unless Moors gets good minutes for Wests on Saturday...

14\. Fifita .....it's a given no brainer
15\. Flanagan....stays
16\. Akeripa
17\. Taumata...

Sheens probably wont go with either....

question does that mean leave the pack as was yeaterday with robbie half again or something else

Yep…..Oh someone else for Fitzy....his best game against the Rorters yeasterday but I feel a stint in State cup would be good for Daniel's confidence....

Pritchard or Sama...I like him...

Most seem to think waters went OK…still havent watched the game will watch it ltr tonite.

Lui still has doubt over him, so too with Arana, but at least he seems to be fit

I'd go
9 Farah
7 Waters
6 Benji

14 taumata
15 moors
16 Fifita
17 Payten

agree about fitzy but think we will see brown and daniella used before these two at least.not sure about pritchard (left/right) but sama is a left winger so dont think sheensy will slot him on the right he said yesterday in the australia press conference prefers a specialist rather than swapping from side to side. must only apply to outside backs and not halves and forwards

sauvao looks a real prospect along with mullayney IMO those 2 provide more then fitzy, as for pritchard sheens really doesnt seem to have time for him which sucks because he definatly is a better option then fitzy and daniela

 Sheens at his best…that will do me...I've got an Idea....Keep your Aussie cap on your head when you come back to the Wests Tigers.......

Really....that's too funny....

I think I'll just follow the 20's for a while....
