Benji 2025

Still separated from NRL. Great work!

Yep,.. they probably got some govt money to build it there no doubt, and it’s where most of the kids live so saves them a commute …

Perhaps the question was why put the NRL COE at Concord…. Although I understand that Council put up some money…. Unfortunately this club is unique …just look at the home games schedule

Cam ciraldo had a couple of rough years. Remember

Benji is smart and a hard worker, he does not have the squad yet.

We are building

Be patient,
He had one rough year.

Also, he's had years and years of practice in the lower grades.

If Benji had to do the coaching thing and start from the grassroots, would he do it? I don't think he would.

We do have the squad and to his credit, he assmebled it. We have premiership winning hooker and half. We have close to an Origin front row. Our centres are stable. Our POTY last year at backrow.

We don't have depth for sure.

Prolonged success isn't dependent on your current squad though, it's your ability to guide them from HM onwards. I just don't see us doing that.

Our club is a perennial stats of building for the future.

If we don’t have the squad, we’ve only got ourselves to blame for not replacing any player that we have released over the last 12 months.
Was hoping Richos comments of the exciting signings was going to fill our obvious holes from our departed.
Wish he would tell us something, the silence is deafening have they fallen through, were they only possibles not definite, has the Galvin crap scared them away.

Where's the communication we need to hear from him.

The club would run much better without us members getting in the way and asking questions.

The real issue is the structure and how we don’t have power.

That’s not about to change.

The right recruits could help that change and as for the members getting in the way that wouldn't sway them from their direction as if they would listen to anyone from a forum.

By the way thanks for putting up that image from The Exorcist, bought back nightmares from seeing that movie too young lol.

A lot of people wanted Galvin gone after his poor attitude, he's gone.. now we've move onto Benji . ..after loosing the first game without the guy most where happy to let go.. he's made changes for this week with what players he has on offer,I think we sit better now after 13rounds than this time last year and there is enough football left that we play finals .only F/A puts us in 13th at the moment ..Benji will see the year out and the next as long as we don't collect more spoons.but we definitely need a couple of work horses to bash an gas the opposition early. ....and if the club [This word has been automatically removed]s Benji off , you can guarantee Jerome the million dollar man will activate his get out clause, Api will hit the Bears up and so on ,its team first including Benji 🫡😵‍💫
Remember Tigers by 2 this week

Cheers.

I reckon there’s been some very wise and prescient commentary on the forum.

Not so much from me (I’m in the opinion trough like others), but other contributors.

But the day we start seriously abusing people for risking a position…then there’s no point to a forum.

Exorcist was an astonishing movie.

Aged well when it came to Issac Moses and Galvin.

And the spoilt brat inferring Benji wasn’t a leader.

He may not be, but that’s for us to decide not that soulless cretinous greedy arrogant demented young f-knuckle.

It’s our club and for better or worse, we will determine who leads it.

He should get our coaches name out of his (word removed) mouth.

We need wins against the odds to excited good players to come here.
Glad we have all the fainus back this week, this playing group needs to play as a brotherhood. The Lauliliis are coming into the frame too, might see a more committed group in weeks to come 🙏

It certainly helps.

Some players are simply going to sign for money.

Some would like starting possies.

Some are going to sign based on friendships and impressions.

Some might be part of deals aka Hastings who wanted to stay.

Some are just dumped unceremoniously onto the market.

Some aren’t getting along with their players and coaches.

All kinds of reasons.

Sometimes I like to see the Sharpes and Andersons of the world, just creep up out of nowhere.

We’ve got a few I’d like to think have a lot more potential to materialise.

Very interesting question.

The rise of Starford has been very exciting. It’s not just where he is, but what’s to come.

So that’s in the main the frustrating thing with Benji.

He can coach some players, get a bit from some of them and others not so.

And in the wash, we find it hard to nail it.

To be fair, it probably keeps him up at night as well.

Thus he needs the extra support.

You said we've improved. Where have we improved?

Do you believe our line speed and first contact are good?
I didn't say jack sh1t about anything on those topics prius. You're the one in the lab coat saying our "line speed and first contact" are the worst in the league. Where do you see that happening? Can we keep criticism of our coach somewhere within the realm of reality in this forum?.

Not sure why you are getting angry, I thought you were the previous poster - my mistake

There is no single statistic that's measured for "line speed" or "first contact" - so what?
