Sheens is not willing to engage a halfback who will take control, and that's what we are missing! Any bet Bwaif will be played at five eighth next year and Marshall will continue to play half. Anasta will make a better halfback than Benji, and for all his faults, he won't run the ball over the sideline on the first 30m from the opposition tryline, or run it on the last 20m inside our own half.

I do agree that we need a change of coach. I was, and still am a fan of Sheens but I just think we need a change for the benefit of the players.

I know hindsight makes it easier to say what should have happened but i honestly believe Moltzen should not have been moved to FB to cover Tedesco - he had trained the whole offseason in th HB position and should have been kept there throughout the season - we had bought Reddy to cover injuries in the backline and should have used him at FB - its been the same all year with Sheens weakening one position to cover for injuries in other positions - had Moltzen stayed at half our 6,7 and 9 would have been settled all year.

Two problems with your concerns…
1\. Moltzen isnt a Halfback (100% a 5/8)
2\. Reddy isnt a Fullback (75% a 3/4)
Hindsight is sometimes confused with Blind-sight...
Moltzen was probably the best option to replace Teddy, and Miller was probably the best option to replace the guy in 7, but one of those 2 didn't happen as Sheens was confused with the enthusiasm of Humble... See, Blind-sight has struck again!

I thought we might have had the answer a couple of seasons a go in Arana Taumata but the coach never gave him much of a go, running around with windsor, been watching this guy might be worth another try if he can get his act together i know he has been a problem in the past but a very good player on his. Might want to get out of Penrith like a few others . any thoughts

I find it interesting that Tim Sheens, an apparent "master coach" has allowed the team to have 8 different half pairings in one season, yet a coach with much less experience in Steve Price has left Jaimie Soward in reserve grade so as not to destabilize his team by changing the halves pairing.

They did eventually find a half, but then he couldn't control himself off the field. They should have stuck with Humble or given Miller a proper go.
That being said, they trained with Moltzen at halfback in the off season…... gee I don't know, since that happened, maybe they should have just stuck with Moltzen?
I don't know if anyone at the club knows what they are doing tbh, the team is running around like a chook with it's head cut off. There's no clear direction from the top down.

Happy, Rob Lui was a five eighth. I'm talking about a legitimate halfback (Prince, Thurston, Cronk, Hodkinson.)

You could argue Prince was a five eighth too when we signed him.
Lui may have originally been a five eighth but he fit like a glove at half in our side.

CB Maybe it is one of the few things Sheens has got right since 05 with making Lui into a half back
Lui aside, my point is we have let available halfbacks slide past us for four years between 06-09 and now it seems we will relapse again. Sheens chose to manufacture halves instead of chasing a halfback who would have had significant clout when Farah and Marshall were still young.

Miler debuted for us I think way back at the start of 2011.
If we had persisted he'd have 40 odd FG games under his belt now, and be light years ahead. Lui the argument could be made could be a bench utility, or with the deceptive amount of size he was developing - eventually a ball running backrower.
The confidence he shows in u20's right now could have been showing in FG.
Just a thought.
