Best crowd/atmosphere

In no particular order

05 Semi v Dragons

76 Amco Cup Final - Leichhardt

69 Major Semi v Souths - SCG

66 v Great Britain - SCG

68 Keith Barnes last game - Leichhardt

Best atmosphere to a game I've been to, well there are two

The infamous Danny Williams night at Leichhardt. never heard an angrier, more hateful crowd than us against him that night.

Secondly, semi-final against the Roosters. That game was the best live game I've ever been to. Unfortunately I will never watch it ever again….

I was best man for a mates wedding, I organised his bucks weekend on the Dragons 2005 prelim weekend by pure accident. And my mate is just as big a Tigers fan as I am.

We ended up at the Kingscliff hotel out the back in the TAB area, ended up taking over the place, everyone cheering for Tigers. It probably helped that most of us are ex Mt St Pats boys and most are good mates of Boof.

Quite simply the best footy experience (outside of being at a game live) I've ever had. For me, it outranks the feeling of even winning the GF a week later. It was that good.

Yep 2005 Semi…...easy

After what both Balmain and Wests fans had been through over the past decade or so and being such big underdogs.

The emotion just poured out of all concerned, truly amazing feeling.

The win over the Dragons at the SFS in 2005 will never be replaced by a better memory of sport in my lifetime. It surpassed even the win in the GF and I was there for that too.

05 Pre-lim has to be no 1
the GF, although while it was the most significant win in the clubs history, as far as crowd/atmosphere go, it wouldn't be in the top 10\. And i say that because the atmosphere was non exsistant beacause of the amount of corporates and non-Tigers and Cowboys fans

I went to both games, the semi atmosphere was unbelievable with all the cocky Saints fans who thought they were in the grand final already, but nothing beats the sea of orange and the roar of the crowd and winning the premiership.
Then the lap of honour by the boys ,then the next 20 or so hours celebrating at Balmain leagues and Leichhardt oval.
O WHAT A NIGHT.

I had a real Smart Alec kid - about 16- and his family in front of us at the saints comp game this year at SFS the week before beatin manly….you know what its like,....your near some opposing supporters, your team scores, you cheer, they score, they cheer a bit harder, then we score so I cheer harder and closer still....it went on & on....stains dad was a coccky lookin jerk, while stains son turned to look at me with a smart Ass smile on his dial every time they scored...wanted that win so so bad not just for those clowns but for some other stains supportin mates and the team too.
Was very satisfying when they left with about 5 to go, saints dad giving me a pat on the knee as he went past....could tell he really wanted to smack me in the mouth...LOL
As simon said....love rivalries....us & Stains are gettin a good one.

The crowd and atmosphere at the Tigers vs Eels game when Tuiaki did his ankle was pretty impressive. Was it 2009?

Crowd for both teams was electric and both were in great form.

Shame we lost - that bit sucked!!

Going back a bit. Although we lost. Wayne Pearce last home game had to be one of the best atmospheres for nothing game. Tigers went down and it was still incredible atmosphere game. Would still hold crowd record except for the fact they opened gates and let everyone in. Noone missed out. Captain of opposittion agreed about atmosphere. He was a pretty good judge too. P Sterling.

Last night at LEICHARDT OVAL was a solemn , yet amazing atmosphere . I was privelidged to be in the dressing shed after match. I will never see so many legends in one room at one time. All had tear in eye. Happened to be one the last to ask the great man Laurie Nichols to sign an autograph. His reply was "why would you ask an old fool like me for autograph" , before i could answer he said " bugger it . It might be the last time i get asked." My son has that jersey hanging in room. These sort of Tiger and Magpie charactors are what is creating this culture within todays Wests Tigers. Bring it on for years to come. :sign:

I was lucky enough to be at the SFS for the Dragons semi in 05\. It was unbelieveable and unforgetable.

The week before that was great as well when they beat Brisbane at SFS. You could actually feel the vibration through your feet from the eastern stand shaking when Benji took that intercept and ran 90m to score.

This year against Dragons was good and Round One last year when we came from well behind to beat Manly.

I'm not a big fan of playing home games at the SFS, but there are certainly are some good memories there in recent times.

2005 v Dragons was the best rugby league crowd I've ever been a part of.

I was at the socceroo's world cup qualifier against Uruguay where we won on penalties and that takes the cake as "my" all time best!

Same for me, and Im not a huge soccer fan. The noise when Bresciano scored for us to go 1-0 up (and effectively all square) was the loudest I've heard at sporting event.

When the crowd spontaneously sung waltzing matilda at the 99 bledisloe cup game that was awesome as well.

For the league crowd, 2010 and 2005 were both amazing atomsphere, the result in 2005 was more pleasing

Juniors last game was a great moment. My mum took me out to the game all the way from penrith, she was not a footy fan, but knew how much I wanted to go. I think I cried, Junior was my first favourite player, and still my all time favourite.
Ive told this story on here before, but when i was a young kid (and a new tigers fan) I saw Junior at "its a knockout" he was the judge, he chatted with me for a few minutes after he saw the tigers scarf I was wearing, from that point on he was my hero. So glad that after meeting him as an adult that he is such a good bloke, dont think I could handle it if he wasn't.

Can't beat saints semi 05.I cried tears of relief and then joy. then I got to walk out of the dressingroom with the players…
