Are you female?

If he turns out to be the champion you all say he is..I will be happy to give my self an uppercut. I know he has had good form previously and is NZ vc,,Just a bit worried about his current work rate. But of course if he is that good and with the backrow next year….great. Maybe he can move in with Benji when Moltzen leaves.

I'd just be reserving judgement until we see how he settles into the Tigers style of play next season. Big expectations surround Blair, but a change of club, scenery and style could well be the kick-start he needs, and having someone like Benji and Lui popping short balls for him close to the line could be very good to watch from next season onwards.

That is a point..remember only a short time ago the screams that went up with Gibbs and Fifita leaving to accomodate Blair..so fans will be looking at him and they will expecting good form. Anyway we will see next year.

Yes he is a decent player and I'm glad he is going to be a Tiget next season however I don't think he is worth $500,000 a season. He doesn't even play 80 minutes.

In saying that, he will bring a lot of confidence to the side with a winning culture at Melbourne. I've been watching him ever since we announced his signing and he gets invovled in the play quite a fair bit although sometimes to his own detriment, he needs to pick his moments a bit better because he sometimes does useless runs making no metres. I'm pretty happy with his defence as well. Can give an odd stupid penalty away but he isn't as bad as Gibbs.

Adam Blair is a great player he has just lost his way since last year. New club, new coach may turn things around for him. Also $500k a year helps a bit towards motivation.

I can see blair being bashed from pillar to post by some of the members on this forum if he doesn't make 200+ meters and 50 tackles per game.

I still don't think he is worth the money we have reportedly offered him but he will add something to our pack.

The Blair haters are probably the same people who said Ellis was going to be no good. And the ones who said Lote would be no good. Those people were on the money weren't they?

I dont hate Blair.. I dont hate anyone. I'm just putting forward a view regarding his current form and hoping he fits our team next year. In regards to Ellis and Tuqiri, I wasn't on this site at the time, but I was happy with the Ellis signing but I will admit I was uncertain with signing Tuqiri because of the cost and he was 'only ' a winger. But of course they have both proved great signings.

Yeh true williow i recken he will go gr8 but dont forget his comming from a top team its going to take time to find his feet with our team

So the Weststigers are not a top team? Will more than likely end up in the top 4\. What are you on?

I must admit to being one of those against buying Lote, happy to say I was wrong!

I was more wrong when they bough Matt Hayden in for about his 4th stint in test cricket in about 2000, was telling anyone that would listen that he was a great Shield cricketer but clearly not up to test cricket 30 odd test centuries later, yep, I was wrong

remember people - blair will never be as good as ellis. thats how good he will be. but he will be next to ellis. now thats how good it will really be.

wrong i said lote would have a good season followed by 2 injurty prone ones and that he wasnt worth it for more than a year and i still stand by that
ellis i wasnt for or against

Blair is just over-rated,he will be good but hes not a standout
blair will have to be awesome to live up to his price tag esp if it means we are gonna lose more players in the next few years

Who and where are all these people?

Why dont you quote them instead of just making them up…..

I havent seen anyone say they hate blair, and anyone that says ANY player will be no good before theyve even seen them play for us, well - their opinion isnt worth much and taking notice of such an opinion is worth even less.

Blair doubters if you don't like "haters" which in hindsight was probably a poor choice of words. My point was all through 2008 people were saying Gareth Ellis would be no good, then all through the off season before 2010 people were saying Lote was not worth it. Both have been fantastic (when on the field). I am expecting those doubting Blair will be made to look silly, much like those who doubted Lote and Gaz. Blair is a class player and will add a lot to our defence (where he's one of the best in the game).

lets be realistic - blair aint no superman. do you think melbourne will suffer next year without blair or will they continue to stay at the top. I'll take a wild guess - i say melbourne will still be on top. on the flip side - sheens has the potential to bring out the best in blair with our style of play. 2\. who's playing better right now - gibbs or blair? i'm just saying be realistic. blair is no superman. but he can compliment our style of play. just like ellis has.
