OFFICIAL Blake Austin [Discussion]

[GNR4LIFE]

No idea where this story has come from. Well off my radar if true, but I absolutely believe it isn’t true.

It’s important to remember that players will constantly be linked with the Tigers coming up to the deadline as they both have the most room in the cap. Player managers will also put out fake stories to drive players prices up. So be wary.

Side note on Moses - Knowing most of the inner details of the events that unfolded last year, I hold him In a higher regard than I do for Woods, Tedesco and some other figures in those parties. Not that my opinion means much…

How so? the turn coat left his team mid season.

Look it was and is a complex situation that is not easy to explain or one that I can really go into. It’s just my opinion, Everyone is entitled to their own.

For sure and its my opinion a player leaving his team mid season is scum.

So ET is scum for leaving the Panthers mid season? Or MWZ and Tui? That’s a very broad swipe.

I could see blake as 14\. Could play all positions bar front row but probably wouldn't nail down a position due to his versatility. If he's signed I don't think it's for this year imo.

X2.Many leave because they are pushed or unwanted

Bit harsh calling players that leave their team mid season scum.
There can be all sorts of reasons.
Doesn't make them all Mitch Moses.

I agree, MWZ, Twal and Tui all switched to us mid season last year

[happy_tiger]

People leave mid season for different reasons

Many can see opportunities at clubs which don't exist at their current club

Grouping them under one banner is harsh

The sooner we have a set trade window the better for all clubs , will help even the clubs out even more

[Doc_Tiger]

I clearly remember him giving everything for us a few years ago. At the time he stated on their record that he wanted the 6\. But Moses was the golden child. He performed then, he performed at the Raiders and he could again. If it was to be, I'd be all for it.

Blake Austin was seen catching a bus home after a big day on the drink so of cuz the lurker linked him to us.

Dont put words in my mouth. There is a difference between players playing reserve grade and a player thats in a leadership group that all your plays were centered around and wanted.

Thought that was obviuous.

What’s to work out. You said a player leaving mid season is scum. You didn’t bother clarifying. You just made a sweeping statement.

Its not so much about the fact he left mid season its more about the way he went about getting a release.

Sometimes you should not take comments so literally.?

It was implied though. What Moses did last year was leave a team that he played in all year that couldn’t make the finals to go to a team that could.

It was arrogant, selfish and disrespectful to all of his teammates. It proves he never had a team mentality.

He should of taken up tennis.

As others have said. It isn't skum to leave when you are unwanted.
We did not want Blake Austin at the time because Mitch Moses was going to be our chosen. He wasn't going to command top dollar here OR possibly not be in our starting 17, so left.

World of difference.

I actually appreciated Moses's honesty at the time, He was saying it's all down to the dollar and he wasn't going to be loyal.
I prefer that then the string along. At the time, Austin was the better player. Mitch had "potential" so we stuck with him :frowning:
All of this matters not. I would be glad to sign him again but other then center or bench can't see where he fits.

I dont remeber mitch saying that and remember alot of comments stringing the club on how much he love jason taylor ect. He had a contract the season prior where he could have extended for multiple years but chose the year extention to string us along and try bump up his price tag.

No difference except the jumper,,
They all jumped ship , you’re being a tad hypocritical,
.
Apart from that, how do you know any of them were scum?
How many of them do you know?
