@PYMBLEPETE said:The worst decision the Wests Tigers have ever made. Makes the signing of some of the duds over the years seem inspired. Our best player this year, here on a second tier contract (so savings on his contract are minimal) with so much to offer in a position - centre - where we are really struggling. And of course, makes one our opponents that much stronger.

On field , so far we have lost Gavet and Austin and replaced them with Kevin Naiqama and a player I'd never heard of before we signed him

Off season has only just started. Seems that the manoeuvring that happens between campaigns now is becoming more frequent. That's why I reckon the NRL should just bite the bullet and have two transfer windows: off season and the month of May to allow clubs/players to negotiate moves for signings that didn't work out.

On behalf of Wests Tigers I’d like to thank both Blake and James for their efforts while here at the Club and wish them well at their new Clubs,” said Taylor. “Both players have made it abundantly clear that they saw their future elsewhere and therefore we had no hesitation in granting their release.
Taylor wants commitment, these two couldn't give him the 100% he wants,so whilst not ideal,it is probably a great decision.

Could you really blame him though? Probably dirty at the way Potter was treated and the efforts of some of his team mates late in the year as well.
I do agree though that if he felt his future laid elsewhere, you don't want someone who doesn't want to be here.
