Blake Lazarus

Lazarus is a very, very talented kid.

He was definitely AHEAD of Ayshford early on…......he could be a legit full time first grader. Real talent.

However...

However.................

He's coming off two major injuries. Not one, but two.

Who knows how he will come back?

He deserves some luck.

1\. Lazarus
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
9\. Farah

For next year? 😛ray: 😛ray: 😛ray:

I hope Sheens sees it that way.

If he had been fit would have played fullback this year from the beginning and I'm sure that was Sheens plan but after 2 years off he might need some games in SC to get his fitness up but one he is on the field and full stregth I'd see him as fullback and moltzen half but that again dpeneds on what we do with Lui and Taumata

Lazarus is good. He would have been our No.1 barring injury.

But Taumata will be in our staring 13\. I think we will see

1\. Moltzen
6\. Marshall
7\. Taumata
9\. Farah

I think Lazarus should start out in Premier League next year. By the time Round 1 rolls around it will have been almost 2 years since he's played a competitive game of football, Reggies will help him ease his way back. I'd start the season with Hanbury or Mullaney at the back.

I'd rather Lui. He is our long term halfback.

I don't think Mullaney is up to the task just yet. IMO i think he's at least 2 years away from the NRL. Needs to play some StateCup level footy and 2 years to bulk up. He is standing where Lazarus was 2 years ago on his development. Don't get me wrong, Mullaney has been super impressive this year playing at NYC level. Fifita the prop would be my first target to fast track through to NRL. But agree with getting some StateCup footy under Lazzo's belt before giving him another crack at the top level to boost his confidence.

Well said….Joel Jackson would look good in a Magpies jumper next year.....split the Fafita Bros....Wests Andrew...

Sad thing is, we all know who Sheens will start at fullback next year which means MORE pain without a decent halfback.

Blake has at least 3 months of State Cup football next year to get his fitness and confidence up before he is even considered for an NRL slot.

He is a much better half than Moltzen in regard to organising a structure and I feel that is where he would best serve the side in the future.

Lui has talent but lets be realistic he has yet to prove himself regardless of his natural ability.

I agree. And if he even plays first grade at all next year it will be a massive achievement.

I know people are giving him wraps, but thats just putting false hope onto those who havent seen him which will lead to Blake being unfairly criticised when he doesnt excell staright away. He's about 18 months of solid football away from reaching anywhere near his potential. 2 knee reconstrucions in 2 years is a massive hurdle, we should be saying nothing about Blake other than good luck and take your time mate, listen to your body and be patient.

Proven himself at NRL level you mean? He's only had 3 games and he's only going to improve with game time. I thought he was very impressive in his appearances in 1st grade,
