How is he being a traitor? He doesn't have to stay with us after his contract is up. Maybe he doesn't feel he will get much of a chance in first-grade with Wests Tigers considering we have Moltzen and Lui who are infront of him for the half-back first-grade position. When Pearce plays for NSW, or if he gets injured, Lazarus will be their back-up player I suppose.

How is he a traitor.. He would know by now and has probably been told that he will not be able to make our first grade team again. Players leave clubs all the time and that doesn't make them all traitors. You Have no idea.

You're clueless. No truly, you are. That's one of the more ridiculous posts I've seen. Why would you drop a player who is trying to further his career because he's not getting a run in first grade and is no longer in the Tigers top 25? Here
s another newsflash, David Gower signed with the Dragons a couple of months ago and do you think he has been dropped? No, he's still busting his hump for Balmain and doing a damn good job while he's at it, as is Lazarus.

It's a shame cos he has played a lot of good games for BRET but realistically he has Lui and Moltzen in front of him and possible feels a little burned after his experience of first grade with us. Good luck to him.

Good luck to the lad…he is not in our future plans...he is best served elsewhere.....I didn't see much to say he will be a major loss...

Was told months ago to look for a new club, how that makes him a traitor is beyond me. If anyone has been betrayed it is him by the club.

The simple facts as I understand them are that Sheens wanted Lazarus to move to the Magpies before June 30 this season and play fullback. Blake refused. If I were to postulate reasons for his refusal I would cite loyalty to his team mates at BRET, history with coach Epifania (sp?) and the fact that it would have been the fourth time Sheens has changed his mind as to whether he views Blake as a half or a fullback.

After Lazarus informed coach Sheens of his decision the information out there suggests Sheens has not spoken a word to him since.

The funniest part of this is that Lazarus' confidence and in particular his defence have improved significantly since being removed from the tutelage of one T. Sheens

yeah heas a traitor, so is pat richards, brett hodgson, skandalis, ben galea. lets not forget those blokes who retired too. what about brett kimorley? he's a serial traitor. They should only let players play for one team.
Or they could just stop you from making idiotic posts

Yep he's a traitor..
For 4 years he paid out of his own pocket to train with the club…driving over 80kms a day..
You are a clueless dope.

Mate your the idiotic poster. Although i don't agree with the first poster, Blake Lazarus moving on is completely different to those players just mentioned :brick: :brick:

Yeah, he's a traitor. The rare opportunities he had first grade he got shafted by Sheens and he's not got a look in since… Nice post champ :unamused:

Good luck to Blake. I hope he gets a fair go at Newtown (or wherever he's headed,) and finds his way into first grade one day and enjoys a successful career.

Good Luck Blake.

Sometimes people need to move on - Its part of life.

I dont see how Coach Sheens failed Laz, He gave him 2 games and the team didn't really click.

Cant agree their, when given a chance he was not allowed to actually play the role he was selected to play. He was moved all over the shop, could not done his confidence a real lot of good. Anyway good luck to the kid he deserves a break. The balls in his court now to prove the knockers wrong.

Saying he was played all over the shop is a poor excuse. He has played plenty of fullback in his time, not so long ago people were calling for him to be selected in that position. I was one of those people, because what I had seen of him looked the goods. Unfortunately the step up to the next level is a big one, and you need to take the opportunity you are given. Playing first grade is a privilege which is earnt, not a right, and regardless of what position you are told to play in, you need to perform.

I maintain that regardless of where he was playing in those two games, he did not show enough to suggest he was up to first grade standard yet. Dropped balls, fluffed kicks and poor options.

Aside all this, I hope he takes his game to the next level at his new club. He definitely has the potential. Unfortunately we don't have room for him in our top 25.

Seriously Centar, young Blake was rushed into the 1st grade squad after only 4 NSW Cup games after 2 years being out from not 1 but 2 knee reconstructions, playing behind , then a well beaten WT forward pack.

Anyway, all the best to the young bloke, who has given his all, on & off the field for the Tigers
