Why is it always 1 or 2 people who are misguided youth who commit crimes of 'terror'? I'm a little sceptical especially hearing from my American friend who's dad is retired from the US army.

youre certainly not going to get accurate 'news' from maintstream media. search back to who owns what and it will lead to some interesting connections to the military industrial complex and so forth.

at the same time, i think it is imperative that people also have the same mindset when watching 'documentaries'. i personally find conspiracy docs interesting, but scoff at the sheer stupidity of some (one said there were actually NO PLANES on 9/11!). that said, some are very thought provoking…

tsj, i dont know if you are interested in this or not, but i would recommend either a doco on Noam Chomsky (brilliant man, professor - emeritus i think - at MIT) or reading one of his books. Hegemony or Survival i found very interesting, and all backed up by facts.

Like there's website after website of stuff taking down Fox news' political bias by comparing it to a plethora of other news sources and eye witness accounts.

I'm already quite shocked to see U.S military bases in 30 countries…

I remember going to Okinawa and seeing so many Americans, likewise in Itaewon, Seoul. They got quite annoying. And half my family are Americans in L.A!
