good win by Tsyzu see how he goes against a proper fighter though. Think Zerafa would have been a much closer fight

Not sure about that. I think Tszyu would have bashed him.

think zerafa woukd have bashed spark too
let's see out Tim goes against a world class fighter rather than who he has fought to date. Hope he goes well still to prove it against top class

Tim probably has harder sparring sessions than Stevie ....

Not Tim's fault ...but fighting blokes 3 levels below him isn't helping at all

agree totally not Tim's fault but Stevie was a deadset joke of a fight.
Zerafa woukd have been a better fight but even still not much here for Tim.
His managers will try and protect him but I don't think Tim can beat Liam Charlo or castano but good on him for having a crack at it

This will sound weird , but in around about way his window starts closing if he keeps fighting sub par opponents for any length of time

he needs to go now while he is 19 and 0 problem is he gets beat then he is stuffed comes back here perhaps to take on Zerafa.
Not as good as his old man

Problem is all these Aussie fighters recently only want to fight in their own backyard. They don't want to go overseas to test themselves.

Kostya was an absolute gem. Tim is the Chinese knock-off version.

he won't get close to kostya

Interesting to see how Tszyu handles a quality opponent if/when it ever happens. Tszyu got caught a few times by an average fighter like Spark, someone like Charlo would pick him apart at this point in time.

Love watching Charlo

He’s top 5 in WBC, IBF and WBO. Will be a world champion very, very soon.

He’s top 5 I don’t know what you’re looking at.

I think he beats Liam.

EDIT: #4 ranked by WBC, #3 ranked by IBF, #1 ranked by WBO.

Tim needs to go over seas get a fight and train with the hardest guys they can find to prep him over there , he has the steels to go well and I think he can be as good or better than his father , time will tell but he can’t progress hear , he needs to find harder challenges , he will be a champion And I think he will get his wish to fight on his dads home soil

Tim is a very good fighter. He is yet to be tested against the absolute best but he passes the eye test and would pose questions to the other top fighters in his division at the very least. To say otherwise is just pure armchair commentator nonsense. He has a range of weapons including rapidly developing power, deceptive speed, incredible body shots, and appears to also be able to wear a shot.

My view is that I wouldn't be surprised if he actually does turn out to be a world champion. I've seen nothing to indicate he won't. He's young and still has plenty of improvement to come. But if he doesn't quite get that far, that's nothing to be ashamed about.

As for the argument that Tim is somehow refusing to fight abroad or whatever that's just stupid. He's been trying to get a fight with a top guy for ages but between COVID lockdowns and top guys ducking him it's just not happening. Much like every other Aussie fighter in his shoes, he's probably going to have to make himself a target to the top guys by finding a soft spot. A vacant world title fight or a weak world champ. Which he nearly did have with Patrick Teixeira but Castano took the opportunity. If he gets his hands on a world title he won't have to worry about chasing because the fights will come then. That said he's mandatory for at least one world title now and if he keeps winning he'll end up mandatory for others too.

good win by Tsyzu see how he goes against a proper fighter though.

Jesus.

Tim is good lineage and has been doing this his whole life.

He could be better than Kostya is he can prove himself against some big international names.

It's only just beginning for him.

tough division
he will not beat Charlo or Castano not in the same league as kostya, best we have here but not saying much

I really reckon he’ll surprise you.

I'm honestly finding the anti Tim sentiment here weird. It's like the pessimistic attitude of being a Tigers fan is influencing how the perceive him too lol.

Yeah, that could definitely be it hahahaha.

Tigers have made a lot of us a fickle bunch.

due to the fact he has not beaten anyone of note, Horne was passed his best. If he goes overseas and beats a ranked fighter good on him don't think he will.
He has a lot to I've up to to be as good as his old man, if he was Tim Smith would people feel the same.

Agreed.

Tim would've won though.
He's in his own lane, for Oz boxing.

No completion.
He wants an international name, they should get it for him.
