Braith Anasta and Tim Moltzen set to leave the tigers ??

If Anasta's at 6-7 next season, we're in BIG trouble.

Offers no creativity in attack, poorly executes set plays, is too slow to take the line on and is a liability defence as well. I can't buy into this argument that he'll offer 'experience' to younger members of the team, this 'invaluable' asset of his has been nowhere to be seen when the chips have been down this season and we've needed direction/leadership. If anything, its the 'experienced' players like Anasta who've let us down under pressure (e.g. the Manly game).

He really should retire to save his legacy, if he keeps going he won't be remembered for his days as a rep player rather a has been who held on for 3-4 seasons too long.

Moltzen well he'd clearly had the dick after his first ACL injury, who knows how bad he'll be after his second one? From where I see it, he's the 5th best half at the club (behind Siro, Brooks, Moses and Austin), the 3rd best full back (behind Tedesco and an untried Rowe) and the 4th best utility (behind Halatau, Luani and Austin if he plays off the bench).

Anybody watched any of Campo since he came back for the Raiders earlier in the year? He's playing absolute garbage and will never be the same again after his horrific run and he was MUCH better than Moltzen to begin with…..

I must admit I thought Anasta would have worked out a lot better than he has. The guy has either totally lost form, isn't interested or possibly both. He either needs to go to the ESL or hang up the boots. His performances have been declining all year. If he's here next year you can only hope his pride will force him to perform better or else he'll be finishing him up playing Wyong and Mounties which I think would be rather sad for someone of his (former) talents.

Me too, Yoss. I remembered Anasta as that highly motivating captain courageous, who led by example and steered the Roosters to the 2010 GF. He has really fallen off his perch since then. Happens to the best of them I guess, just ask Benji.

I knew, physically, he would probably not be able to produce the goods like he once did, but I was hoping for some solid leadership, teamwork and inspiration from him, at least. Perhaps he needs another year with WT to feel more at home in this role, sans Benji also.

I think we ruined whatever was left in his tank by playing him in the back row , that was always going to be the risk in my opinion

bwahhahahahahah Anasta are thease the same people who were defending his signing last year? I won't say I told you so again, this guy should just retire, he is the worst playe rin the NRL to quote Warren Ryan

And how many games and premierships and tests have you played golden sure he has been well below his best this year but he ain't been the only one

hes always been overrated, have you not seen the roosters fans the last 5 years? look at that he signs with us we go to last they go from last to first. in a blink of a eye, hes not just a useless player hes selfish a whinger hes a cancer to a football team, Ive heard off field stories about him you gotta watch this guy, hes not just bad on the footy field hes bad off field, yet he comes across as a suck up when working with the media.

and oh god please Anasta in 2010??? that was Carney not Anasta all he did was fluke a field goal because our players forgot to dive on the ball out of a scrum

this beats Matt Orford signing with the raiders, at least they let him go when they knew he was finished

of course Anasta offers nothing, I couldn't understand why some fans were happy with him coming here. Rooster supporters laughing at us, the majority of them were demanding Anasta out of the halves for years when he was there.

Potter has a lot to do with the way Anasta has played. He didn't know what role he was meant to play.
He is a lock and that's where he should have played

He was played in the backrow and was terrible there as well. He is better in the halves but still terrible.

He runs out in 7 every week yet Marshall plays there…tries to

It would be a godsend if they both left however we couldnt be that lucky

Wests Tigers cannot progress if Potter keeps selecting Anasta in first grade every week. I often believe that Potter is very easily intimidated by senior player reputations. Senior players are not coaches and are not always entitled to certain entry into first grade. A lot is now resting on Potter. Does he have the makings of a real leader?

Exactly,if Potter gets sacked it's his own fault,Anasta at 7 every week ,give me a break.

I can't see what Anasta can possibly offer next year. If we have to pay him out, pay him out. I will be very disappointed if I watch Anasta run out in the halves in 2014.

I agree, either that or just play him in reserve grade.

I would rather see some potential in the halves even if it takes time for them to come good. And he is not even a reserve grade back rower.

It kills me to watch Anasta make mistake after mistake in attack, then have the opposition simply run around him when he's defending.

Makes you wonder what made him start playing so badly ,so quickly

He was pretty good at half v St George , and was never this bad in the halves at the Roosters

I just wonder if he is still carrying that groin injury from the Saints game ,would explain the horrible passing game for one

He's thinking about life after footy or more specifically his golf game. Anasta has read the book of Benji of late and just aint interested. I agree - send him to NSW cup. One of these younger blokes will surely put in more than he.

I doubt he will make the cut as a professional golfer He might be able to shoot 1 or 2 under the card at particular courses but to consistently make cuts and cover your cost you have to be able to get Top 10 finishes which will require to be able to fire a 5-6 under the card in at least one round as well as some even par golf

We had a Pro Am at our local club about 12 years ago and when I saw our 2 scratch golfers up against the Steven Bowditch's ,Shane Tait's and the other Sunshine Tour golfers of the time It was like comparing NYC to NRL and these blokes (Bowditch and Tait ) couldn't cut it at the top level as in Europe ,Asia or the US

I agree. By saying he was more interested in perfecting his golf game, I didn't mean to a point where he would become pro though. At my club there are blokes on handicaps of -1, -2 etc. They can tear apart a decent course, but yeah when it means something and even when a small gallery is present, they typically fail in comparison to some of these other blokes walking around. Mental toughness is a major part of the game and some players have it and some don't.
I suspect Anasta will also have his work cutout getting between his wife and Minichello's. Typical Eastern suburbs prima donas getting more headlines than their player hubbies.

Braith got a nice wrap in todays tele worst buys of 2013,not surprising Easts have 4 of the top buys in their squad,we need recruiting like that, not Sheen's style recruiting.

Sheens has gone…recruitment has not changed. Over 30 year old backs and discards from other clubs. Same same same.
