Braith Anasta

You've got to get up very early to get one over me Dave haha.

At the end of the day he's on older legs and looking at the NYC we have plenty of talent coming through in the halves. I guess now its a battle for the 6 or 7 jumper between Sironen, humble and miller.

heh damn you beat me too it Fraze  quick and the dead around here.

But yes, very interesting. That's where he should be, but Braith has certainly preferred to play in the halves at the Roosters. A few Roosters supporters around would have preferred he stay out of the halves.

What Fletch said, certainly suggests that Braith signed on with the knowledge he'd be in the backrow.

Sheens may have told him that , but is still the wrong call as I said earlier He's going to get far more injuries in his 30's playing back row than playing in the 6 or 7

Age doesn't stop lots of other players still going strong in the foward pack who are that age and older.

Different if they have played their all of their careers TigerDave

Anasta was primarily a 6 and the workload is different as many would be aware

Speaking of that, there was talk on The Roast earlier about Siro being in the 5/8 spot some time this year.

Yeah true enough happy. We'll just have to see what happens, hopefully he won't get injured, because I just can't see him (nor want to see him) anywhere else besides the backrow.

Based on Fletchers comments, I'd guess the following positions will be locked in for next year. There will be lots of competition for spots:

1\. Teddy
2\. Ryan
3\. TBC
4, Lawrence
5\. TBC
6\. Curtis
7\. Benji
8\. KG
9\. Robbie
10\. Woods
11\. Blair
12\. TBC
13\. Braiff

Apparently he's just been hooked in the roosters game against manly. According to 2gb he's "refusing to run the ball "and "just stands there"

I heard that on 2gb too. Apparently made no hit ups at all last week either.

What a tangled web sheens is weaving for next year. We had no halves last year and next year well have miller (prob TYC best 7 and captain), siro (who has wraps coming from left right and centre) and humble (who for my
Mind was doing an ok job for the 5mins he was given). Lawrence who seems to in training for the 6 jersey. Marshall who is arguably one of the best 6 playing 7\. Anasta wanting to play 6.

Wish I had the delorian to drive into the future see wtf he is planning for 2013 to report back here.

Confused!! It's all 6's and 7's to me!!!

Wouldnt take what they say seriously. Moore and Roach are both woeful callers. Haven't listened to them for years. Too many agendas from that lot. I watched it on Fox and thought he was ok without being great.

With the 2 new singings today can we please unsign this guy? it is destined to be a disaster we put this guy at 5/8 it will be terrible, look at him for the roosters right now 0 hit ups for 0 metres 2 hit ups for 8 metres the week before./

Why would we take out the best 5.8 in the world for this guy?? come on unsign this guy we don't need him now if he was going to replace Ellis it doesn't matter now with the 2 new signings

Anasta is awful

Your 5/8th job is not to hit the ball up and that is where Braith is playing right now.

Not to mention that for some reason the Chooks have Cordner running all the lines you want your 5/8 running

Can't comprehend these signings either … Are our signings strategic or do we take whoever we can get regardless of position they play!

Doesnt matter who we sign we are never happy. Everyone wants super stars but we cant have a team full of them.

I am happy with the 2 singings we got today

not with this one and wasn't happy to sign mason to who is proving that he is old and rubbish and washed up at the knights I bet NSW pick him for game 2 to replace the cream puff Ben Creigh

Anasta will be a god send, with him we would have beaten Souths this year and warriors in semi final, he is the ultimate professional and competitor.. Gould has always said, the ball always bounces for him, because he competes hard, great kick on him too… I hope he is our 6, with the extra signings today we have really bolstered our back row strength..
Pettybourne runs the best and hardest line ul see, good tough impact player.
Go the blues!
