7/04/2011 12:22:08 PM
Wests Tigers have received a massive boost on the eve of their round 5 clash against South Sydney tomorrow night with international second-rower Gareth Ellis making a welcome return from injury.

Head Coach Tim Sheens told weststigers.com.au that Ellis had passed a fitness test at the team’s final training run at the Sydney Football Stadium this morning and will now take his place in the side.

The player to drop out of the original 17 man squad named on Tuesday will not be announced until an hour before kick off.

Ellis will be short of match fitness but will be a very welcome addition to the side.

Alan Schrinach looks like the player to miss out.

I would drop Dwyer to State Cup as a wake up call as his form has been poor.

That is awesome news!!! Big boost for the confidence of the team as well… Although who will they drop?

We're getting the band back together!

Starting to look like a strong side again.

This should be a cracker.

Would you have Gareth on the bench or run on?

Keeping Todd and Gareth to come on for impact after 20 would be AWESOME!!!

For me Miller would go back to NYC but we will see come game night

Fantastic News..

Who does he replace?…Simon Dwyer for mine

I guess Shirnack will miss out???
Will be a big bonus for us, hopefully he isn't under done and doesn't re injure himself.
Looking forward to it, hopefully a big game by big G

I well hope he is 100% fit and didn't fluke the fitness run.

I will scream bloody murder if he goes down and we lose him for another month.
