The NRL needed to pull HBG heads in a long time ago …I actually thought that the NRL drove this whole Richo appointment behind the scenes to get the Independent Board in place …looks like that may not be the case ..

Sadly they didn't, hopefully they will get involved this time.

Like I said . Balmain should pull out of the merger as its stands and reform a new one with Cambo. The same club minus the anchor around its neck.

I understand your frustration and i am appalled at what HBG are doing however i don't think Balmain can call the shots with anyone. Why on earth would Wests Campbelltown take on 10% of a club they have no say in and foot the bill as well. I would think Wests Campbelltown would only consider owning WT was if they could own it 100% and that ain't going to happen.

I am writing as a long-standing, fully paid member of the Wests Tigers—indeed, for my entire adult life. My commitment to this club has never wavered, but my confidence in its current ownership most certainly has.

Across the past two decades, the club has endured continual instability, inconsistency, and a pattern of decisions that appear to place the interests of ownership above the health and success of the football organisation. Your recent conduct—particularly actions perceived by many members as interference with, or undermining of, the club’s independent board—has deepened these concerns. From my perspective, these behaviours reflect a level of governance that is not fit for the long-term stewardship of our club.

As a result, I feel compelled to advocate for meaningful ownership change. I will be actively campaigning for reform and encouraging fellow members to consider doing the same. The Wests Tigers deserve leadership that prioritises stability, professionalism, and the future of the club above all else.

I urge you to take a step back, reflect on the damage caused by ongoing internal disruption, and allow common sense to prevail. The destabilising forces that have hampered this organisation for far too long must be removed so that the Wests Tigers can finally move forward—stronger, united, and with the respect its members and supporters deserve.

Had me clapping and cheering to no one but my dogs on our walk. They didn't understand but I loved it. I don't think Benji can be the one to do as you say unless he quits as coach. Don't know if, when it comes down to it, people within organisation will bring themselves to walk away.

I’m angry at anyone who advocates for a time warp just so they can feel something they only remember , no matter the damage . This includes a variety of things . But in this occasion it pertains to wests. And the fact that unfortunately , just like the world at the moment , a certain age group that rhymes with doomer, are running things at the moment , and nearly to a man I hear conversations like , “I’ve only got a short time left , I’m gonna do what I want . Won’t be here to see the consequences “, and all I think is …. How the hell id altruism skip a whole generation .. especially when these same people , were famous for marches and movements that shaped history when they were young .

Balmain still own the “tigers” IP. That’s what the 10% is really. It’s not anything tangible , but the IP and licensing around it .

Does anyone really cede control of something they own 90 percent of , to someone else ? It was always my major issue with all this…
