With idiotic team selections like he has been dishing up, losing won't be a problem

Might be right, but it's sad that there are people gunning for him to get sacked like he ran over their dog or something. Fair enough if you don't like him, but why wouldn't you at least hope he can get it right, cos if he does, the team succeeds. Death riding him means you're hoping this team fails by proxy. I reckon a lot of people would rather see this team fail so he could be sacked rather than have success under him and know that his job would be a lot more secure.

Who says anyone is gunning for him to be sacked. I think most people here want us to win games. Being critical of stupid stuff that JT does is very different to gunning for him to be sacked.

If Taylor fails to make the 8 this year I want him GONE …...its that simple !!!!

Taylors had 2 pre-seasons , 1 full season and 4 games to get his act together and sort his crap out .
He proved last weekend he doesn't have a clue !
And as for you stating I wanted the team to fail , they were your words not mine .

April fools, love it. I noticed the old spaghetti gag got re hashed this year..this time in the UK. I remember the SMH printing something about Spaghetti trees having a virus and there was going to be a spaghetti shortage in the 80's. Looks like the poms have pulled that one from the vault

You can have the ban suspended if you agree not to start any more threads with "Taylor" or "Farah" in the title, but the uppercut is non-negotiable.

Accepted until April 1 2017…

No, I don't want to see the team fail for the sake of getting rid of Taylor. That's over reading the situation. However, the initial reaction for a lot of posters would be 'Yes!' because in many ways he just doesn't cut it as a modern, first grade NRL coach. His tactics and team selections have been highly questionable and he hasn't achieved the rate of improvement in the players and team you would reasonably expect over 18 months. However, I do agree, that right now, his sacking would be premature and destabilizing. Ha, I never fell for the joke. Too good to be true!

The funny thing is that there are honestly people on this board coming up with excuses for this guy over and over and over. Whenever he does something stupid and cops any criticism for it the apologists are all over it.

I wouldn't sack him now but his performance last year was a massive fail. This year in my opinion he gets a pass so far but it's early days. In my opinion he has to make the 8 this year or next at a minimum to retain his job.

Yes Steve and Hobbo,Taylor has to make the 8 this year or he is gone…...maybe the playing squad may have to get sacked first, they are the ones that are showing ineptness with the ball in hand during the games as well as lack of vision on how to play the game...

Oh well bring on the next coach to crucify, the Romans have the spears at the ready...

Dare not say a word about the immaturity of the playing group,at this stage some have not the smarts to compete at NRL level, but sack the coach its all his fault the club has paid for hype and not seasoned potential....

People don't defend everything he does. I don't remember anybody defending his idiotic bench selection last week and a lot of people have been questioning his continued selection of Buchanan and, to a lesser extent, Lovett. I think most are also disappointed that the halves have not developed consistency in their game despite that being one of the supposed strengths Taylor's coaching was to bring to the club. Some have defended his apparent focus on defence but that's fair enough given it's half the game, and the half of the game we have been particularly poor in over recent years.

For the most part I don't think there are a lot of people defending Taylor himself, they are just defending the idea of giving a coach a fair go and trying to establish some stability within the club.

Good work Geo

This thread will hit 60 pages before it even gets warmed up

At least you could of done a Moses off to the Dogs thread or Lawrence signs lifetime contract thread

Re-read what I posted and respond to that. I said this year or next. Let's be completely honest the bar is set pretty darn low for JT.

Any defending of JT based on that criteria is bizarre.

Gunners can be my best man , and you'll do a splendid job as "Maid Of Honour "

Let me clearly state that I'm not defending JTs coaching or himself…what Iam defending is give the coach his full term and judge him AFTER he has completed his contract and see where the team and club sit after his tenure. I definately hate my mates who follow other clubs saying WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SACK THIS COACH,THATS WHAT THE TIGERS DO...its about time we bit the bullet and let these people who the board has appointed do their job,no matter how tough it may seem to us as fans,we would definitely be a more professional club if we employ people and let them complete their tenure..
