BREAKING NEWS : TAYLOR SACKED...

@TrueTiger said:
Let me clearly state that I'm not defending JTs coaching or himself…what Iam defending is give the coach his full term and judge him AFTER he has completed his contract and see where the team and club sit after his tenure. I definately hate my mates who follow other clubs saying WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SACK THIS COACH,THATS WHAT THE TIGERS DO...its about time we bit the bullet and let these people who the board has appointed do their job,no matter how tough it may seem to us as fans,we would definitely be a more professional club if we employ people and let them complete their tenure..

Tell them to get their facts straight TT.
Last time we sacked a coach was Sheens in 2012 - after he'd been here a century.

Ummm exactly , he was the only one ever sacked…..there is a difference in allowing Coaches to complete there Contracts and getting sacked

Wayne Pearce left on his own accord
Terry Lamb didn't get re-signed after the 2003 Season but was allowed to finish his Contract
Mick Potter didn't get re-signed after the 2014 Season but was allowed to finish his Contract

Tim Sheens was the only one sacked in 16 years of our existence that is pretty good if you ask me.

Ck and FT,what both of you are saying is spot on,I have no probs with the input you have given on my post…however I clearly should have said that " we are viewed as being unprofessional in the way we deal with some of the situations within the club", hence people who don't know the facts assume we go through a lot of coaches based on being sacked, the media doesn't help and the way to deal with it is become more professional and let the people employed for a particular role complete their tenure ....

I think that the view of the club as unprofessional comes from a lot of people (players, coaches and officials) playing out their agenda via the media, and putting their own agenda before that of the club. It does not help that certain sections of the media seem to love reporting a negative tigers story. We get almost as much media as Parramatta board elections.

A couple of things here:-

1\. The facts are that we haven't sacked many coaches at all.
2\. I don't know what other people mean by being professional. Maybe sacking a coach is the professional thing to do.

We have not finished higher than 13th the last 3 years. Either we have had 2 really poor coaches appointed, our players are not as good as they are paid to be, our recruitment and retention has been terrible, or there is a culture in the club where players are willing to not do everything required to win.

I would not be backing the 2 bad coaches theory.

Ironic isn't it. We've had four coaches, three duds and a premiership winner. The successful one got the ass.

I looked at the draw last night and thought of we do not win 2-3 before the rep round, he could be in all sorts. The 2nd half fade outs are becoming a real worry. It is either players not up to the game physically or mentally or poor use of the interchange.

I think the interchange is an issue but it's not a big issue. We are going to pieces though at various times throughout each game and we don't seem physically up to it for the whole game.

Still we ran over the top of Cronulla at various times out there. Our poor discipline makes us work harder as well.

This won't be April Fool's if we lose next week. All the talk was Taylor had til round 6 and ending round 6 on a four match losing streak cannot look good.

Yep. True or not, this will become an issue/ distraction.
Season over due to Pascoe not making a call either way.

That is why he should do it now, JT is not improving this team, or even at least giving this team the best possible chance to win games, this is no knee jerk reaction, it has been going on for way to long now.

I agree. Doing nothing is the worse thing we can do, but we'll do exactly that. NOTHING. Getting rid of Taylor will only be half the job tho. We won't improve as a club til Farah is gone aswell.

Looks like goodbye Jason Taylor, welcome Todd Payten or Ivan Cleary sometime this season.
New football manager Mark O'Neill will pull the pin on Taylor.
Nothing personal against him but looks like J.T is not up to it.

You may well be right, but we need to do something now, not in 10 or 12 weeks, we are being poorly coached, we are getting the same players making the same dumb mistakes every week, yet they keep getting picked.
We are one of the worst defensive teams in the NRL, we let in try's just before and just after halftime every week, we are mentally weak, and the coach has no idea how to fix these issues, it is not like he just turned up, he has been here since October 2014.

Steve Folks is the only one I can think of who can toughen up these nuffies !

Can't argue with any of that. But we know nothing will change. There's always next year.
