BRET Vs Newtown

Great effort by Balmain, they've obviously been bolstered by some NRL talent today, but they're really hitting their straps which is great to see.

Jack Spencer was penalised for a late tackle but explained to the ref that he got there as quick as he could, in the meantime John Grant? was away for a try but the movement was called back for a forward pass.

Balmain were $1.87 head to head going in - with all the First grade talent in the squad.

Couldn't resist and put 30 bucks on it.

:roll

Jack Spencer almost put Pat Politoni over but Pat was tackled an inch short, Dane Chisholm tried a big cut out pass that sailed into touch but from the scrum win by Newtown the Jets bombed it, Tigers on the attack with 2 min left

Balmain won well. I think it was 32 nil, but need to check that. The NRL players all went well. Ayshford had a good game - scored a good try and set up a better one and was strong in defence. Utai was unstoppable. Moors played big minutes. As well as Harris, Farlow, chisolm, polotini and Agia were good. Newtown dropped too much ball and were never in it.

Grant got clear and almost ran the length but was pulled down by the collar. he's fast. All in a good day at henson

At Henson? There are a lack of seats at that place, and viewing positions are not the best either.

???
last time I was there, there were benches like at LO almost all way round the oval
