Utai, love him or hate him you have to admire him, today he went at 100 mph all game. At one stage he had head gear on, looked like a ninja turtle. Moors was great, Aysford strong and Grant is way off being a first grader

It was a very well rounded performance from the BRET side.

They really seem to have learnt to trust in each other and in the system that coach Flrtcher has in place, the leadership demonstrated by Spence from the opening minutes at prop was really great to see. All of the guys who played in the pack did their jobs very well They worked for each other, ran in pairs and a fair bit of good passing amongst the forwards as well.

There are alot of genuine threats in the backline with speed to burn with the halves playing much more balanced and patient football than in the opening rounds.

There should be an official match report up in the next few days and the replay will be worth watching when I IQ it in the early hours of the morning.

The BRET side faces the other team in red hot form at the moment in Windsor next Saturday at Leichhardt. They are our traditional boie side so it should be a good clash

Match day Photo thread probably best bet Tui

We were at the game and thought the little number 7 Marc Russell was really good -prob needs to put on some size but could be a solid fg player in the future . Ayshford and Utah were clearly a class above and I really like Hitchcox on the other side in number 4

well guys that was a great afternoon for my young family.
that was my first game of footy i have watched in sydney and had a ball.
loved the atmosphere (very old school) a few cans of resches and a steak sanga
even seen sheensy at the kiosk
got a few evil looks from the newtown faithful whenever a cheered a tigers try
was very impressed with Chisolm , moors and ayshford/utai were a class above.
gee we smashed them
bloody loved it
thanks for the help with info everyone and i will try to get down to watch a game at leichardt towards the end of the year

Just watched the replay of this game, thought it was great effort by the boys.

A few things I did notice.

Ayshford stood up today and played well, got across the line for nice try as well as a nice offload to set one up. Hopefully that performance was the shot of confidence he needed.

Utai, also very solid looked a bit tentative early on On his knee but grew in confidence through game, another week in that grade will do him good.

Jy hitchcox, for little bloke really throws himself around in attack and defence.

Tim simona, looks to have put a bit of size on played well although never really tested in this game like he would as a1st grade fullback.

Watched it too. Good win. good team effort.
Also good to see Utai playing again this weekend.

Hitchcox has been one of there best players week in week out since he started. His first game was when they beat Newcastle which was there first win…also only lost one since. Not saying he is the reason...but he certainly adds some spark to there backline. He can fly. and puts in 100%.

Marc Rusell and Dane Chisolm had very solid games as well.

Combinations are starting to work.

Keep this up they will certainly be contenders this year.

John will be a work in progress all season.

Instincts dont adapt overnight

Big adjustment for an outside back.

Moreso than halves or loose forwards.
