Brett Stewart

He is a great player, no doubt about it. I don't want him here though, even if we could fit him under the cap. He and his brother are both thugs and pigs.

Not worth discussing because I simply cant see him fitting under our cap.

Also I would not be very enthusiastic about signing him, I think the Gallop post try celebration and his discourtesy to David Gallop at the GF presentation were disgraceful.

Yes he feels he was harshly treated but Gallop still deserves player respect, same rules as far as I'm concerned as with referees - players may not agree with their decisions but respect and courtesy should be shown.

He will go to the Bulldogs, perhaps we should be discussing where Ben Barba will be in 2013?

I would hope that the club show no interest in either him or his equally obnoxious brother.I dont care that he is a decent player he would be a bad influence at the club

Haha…Blair and Stewart in the same team. Not in our lifetime :crazy

I was just thinking the same thing Tigergirlz, their warm up before training would be a knock down drag em out behind the stand

If you want a player but cannot fit him in….you simply make room for him
Werent you blokes watching this year?

I'm sure we'd fit him in if we realy wanted to. Assuming this is for 2013, you would think that Lote would just about finish up next yr, and I'm sure Lote is on about 350K

I would take him in our team any day of the year. He has the ability to score a try from nothing and also create an overlap like few can. His attitude may be bad, but drag him away from his brother and into a team who possess class both on and off the field and he would be a revelation. Can't see him wanting to play for the Tigers though, especially with Blair in our squad.

Lets be honest and un-biased for a second. There have been several incidents over the last couple of months that shows we aren't neccessarily cleanskins, and to say we have 'class both on and off the field' would give supporters from other teams a bit of a chuckle

That's the modern game. It's business.

Those businesses that don't evolve or keep the same staff for sentimental reasons generally don't go as well.

He is a class player, it's just a shame his attitude doesn't match. I would have liked to have seen Carney at the Tigers too, but as others have already pointed out, it was just never on the cards considering our own issues with player behaviour.

I'd sooner take Dugan.

X2 but over the last couple of years actually, not just the last couple of months.

There is something about Dugan I dont like. I cant put my finger on it, but he falls into the catorgory of love to hate!

Realistic fullbacks i'd want (well at least possible) would be one of the Penrith boys, Coote or the flash, one of the million brisbane options, Kahu, Beale, Gagai, hoffman or probably best of all one of the Warriors excess the fish, Omar or Kevin locke.
Any of them would be great. I think Tedessco will be as good as any of them, but as we all know alot can happen between future star and current star!

You're not on your Robinson Crusoe there either Goose. A lot of my mates don't like Dugan either.

I'd be ecstatic if we ever picked up Flash or Locke. Both are brilliant players in their own right. I'm hoping Teddy will get a look in over the next year or so. Even just to be given a taste.

IMO there is No way B Stewart would come to the Tigers. He is ensconced not just at the Manly club in a professional sense. His whole world is there amongst the people that supported him through the rape trial he faced. Only St George Illawarra might have a chance for old times sake.

Stewart is no chance and never will be, however the St George approach could mean that they are out of the bidding race for Dugan's signature which might make a play for Dugan more successful (if we wish to go down that path)

No way you'd split the Stewart brothers up, and quite frankly I don't want them at my club, great players or not. Role models they aren't, and to see what they did to gallop on gf day just goes to show their attitude to people who's last name isn't Stewart. Glenn is a grub on the field, and Brett is allegedly a grub off the field (no smoke without fire).
Manly can keep them
