Bring back the Demps

While we are on this topic of appropriacy for the forum I have noticed a lot more posts with either disguised swearing or actual mild swearing not being deleted in the last three weeks or so.

I had a post with disguised deleted about a month ago - it deserved it if the rule is absolutely no swearing but now I'm a little confused. Is some disguised swearing acceptable? Is mild swearing acceptable?
Could we have clarification around that?

I can only really speak for myself but will no longer be deleting disguised swearing. It still breaches forum guidelines so if you do post in that manner you still run the risk of it being deleted.

Having danced around with them myself, I still think there has to be a line on everything, such as if someone decides to declare open season on their use, littering paragraphs with them etcetera.

Will be good though to be able to utilise bullcrap or similar without worry and if the old **wtf?** Emoji was returned it would make it even simpler.

I got banned for 3 weeks and it said i was a previously banned member. I got no idea how i was previously banned when i had only just joined..
But such is life and my pennance ended today though still scratching me head as to why i got banned in the first place

I do get it when people are venting frustration and sometimes go too far (done it myself) but given the site does try to accommodate all ages, genders etc am glad there are standards.

Kul - what are your thoughts on it these days? Happy with whatever you decide but just seeking clarity so I can stay within the guidelines.

Well when you infer a Woman only got her job because she is a [This word has been automatically removed] and then post Meme's of Miss Piggy as said woman it crosses a line in this day and age..

I didn't ban Demps and personally have no problem with him but I do support the moderator decision to ban ..

Some say it's spice ..some find it offensive

When he comes back can there be a proviso he only post once every 2 minutes and it must be on topic.

I had a few of my posts deleted last year which imo could have only been for being slightly of topic when replying to a post.
I have a feeling over the last couple of weeks being slightly off topic has been relaxed which is great, as long as it doesnt go on for too long.
In general, I feel the whole atmosphere on here has become much more relaxed, so you Mods must be doing a good job.

I have no idea why Demps got banned but I have no problems with the way the site runs.

Love the site and the people that run it but some of the rules on swearing are quite hypocritical

I'm happy enough with the rules. A quick visit to the out of control Bulldogs site will quickly let you know that this is the better route to travel.
Demps does add another interesting dimension on here so I hope he's back soon.

Demps **is** a very interesting guy.
He can be funny, thoughtful, supportive, encouraging and caring.
But on the other hand it seems he can be like my other half, who has a **lot** of trouble controlling her negative emotions.
