Madden has only played 5 games and he is going good.

Brooks has played 175 and he was really good when he made his debut.

How good will Madden be in another 170 games and how much money will he be on?

The answer is: THIS DOES NOT COMPUTE.
 
Last night was another example how brooks could not and cannot ice a game. The guy is done... It's not working for him under Madge. Something has to give. Can't keep doing this.
 
If i was Brookes i would want a release. He has played in the worst performing side of the last 10 years. The only time he looked good was with Tedesco and Moses and in 2018. That's says alot about our squad.

The wildly differing opinions about Brooks is caused by confirmation bias. Also I think that there is a certain type of person that feels better when they rant and blame someone, it doesn't have to be true, but they feel better.

You hobbo1, only see what you want to see. If Brooks was as bad as you think he is, why has he played 174 first grade games? Why do other teams want to buy him (now and in the past)? Why does he get paid an unknown but very large amount of money?

The choices are:-
1. hobbo1 knows far more than all the people that run and coach NRL clubs
2. hobbo1 is wrong about Brooks, and does not see reality when he/she watches a game.

let's see if Madden plays first grade for another nrl club

maybe Brooks shoukd have told Madden to run faster when he took the intercept
or
not only kick the ball for Laurie to score but help him hold it and fall over the line
Brooks had a good game last night and will be deservedly picked for round 4
He was not the problem last night
Laurie on the other hand

Thats alot stronger than what we have now. We need to give Madden more games to see what he has.

What it tiresome is not the bashing, because Brooks mostly deserves it, but people who claim to know what he is paid, and then judge his performances on his mystery salary.

We don't know what Brooks is paid. His output is not good enough for $900K, but it's also not good enough for $650K either, so the salary - unknown to everyone except Brooks and the club - is irrelevant.

I agree with the first part but how would you know how the Tigers would play without him? He has positives but we all agreed that he cannot polish off a game. So what happens if we made the finals with him leading at halfback? We would get knocked out in the first game..

I think that he as well as Nofo and a few others should leave so we can have a fresh start. Nothing we do works so it is crazy to keep using the same methods and personal to change things.

Can't believe people are not blowing up big time about the useless referee and whoever the incompetent moron was in the bunker.

I wish the team had just stopped playing and walked off the field in protest until something was done about it.

A forfeit would have been better than copping that defeat and at least it would go down in history as one of the lowest points in the game since the 1909 Grand Final.

How that was missed completely by game officials when commentators couldn't help but notice it, comment on it and replay the whole thing a number of times has me dumb founded.

I'm sure someone said once that, "there has to be an investigation."
 
I’m calling it now. If Brooks gets his release and goes to Newcastle they will be top four next year and possibly even this year.
Us on the other hand will end up with the spoon if we let him go.
