Wests Tigers Coach Jason Taylor spoke to the media on Sunday ahead of his side's Round 17 clash against the Parramatta Eels on Monday night.
>
With his side looking to avoid three straight defeats on Monday night, Taylor has confirmed some significant team news for his side, with halfback Luke Brooks to miss the match with a shoulder injury sustained in last Sunday's defeat to the Penrith Panthers.
>
Josh Drinkwater has been named to make his Club debut as a replacement for Brooks, and will become the 186th player to play first-grade for Wests Tigers.

We may well see a more controlled performance with Josh in the team. Will be interesting. Good luck to all the fellers.

I've not seen him play at all. I wonder if he's been given a pass of sorts to play whatever he feels/sees and if they lose can find a scapegoat, and if it's a win whether it's strategy for the remainder of the season.

I haven't seen him play either but I've heard he has a good kicking game. That's a plus

I wonder if Brooks is really injured that badly that he needs to sit out, or if maybe Taylor has put him on notice…

Will be good to watch… If Josh controls the ruck and kicking game, that should free up Mitchell to use his running game.

I like it

All the way back from England…..Best of luck Josh,,, play your natural game should be good...

I'm so excited.

He's a close friend of my Mrs's.
Hope he grabs this opportunity and has a sick debut.

HELL YEH!

Think if he had anything significant to offer he'd have long made his debut. Considering the way our current halves have played at times
