Brooks under pressure

That's what I'm talking about. Moses takes charge. He isn't timid just throwing his hand up calling for the ball. He is yelling and demanding the ball.

Brooks hasn't got that hunger Moses has. Yes Moses is a tool, his personality sickens me but I don't care. I like how is playing and that's all that counts.

Moses is a tool. His personality is horrible but I want that arrogance from Brooks on the field.
They played together, didn't any of that rub off on him?

Brooks is as timid as a mouse out there. Hand up for the ball like he is asking a teacher to go to the bathroom.
Get tough, get arrogant. Call teammates a C if thats what it takes to get control.

The reason Robbie takes control out there is because Brooks won't.

Do you really think that Maguire will put his career at risk because his non performing 1\2 that has had 5 years to realise his promise is failing !Contracts mean nothing as we all have seen ,this is my opinion alone as a supporter I believe the time has come to excise the culture of failure that is entrenched in the player group for to many years . Yes many here laugh at these comments but if this does not happen what happened on Friday night will continue to be the norm .Do I want Brooks moved on of course not but there comes a time when hard decisions need to be made for the betterment of the organisation and he is not the only one …Will Maguire put his career at risk ? Do not think so !

Brooks needs to get his running game happening again, when he does, he is dangerous, when he doesn't he is just making up the numbers

I think someone has already mentioned if Marsters converts just 1 from 3 then we’d all be talking about how good our defence was, kicking in general play, Reynolds successful come back, the great form of Matterson, Twal, Aloiai etc.

Yes our halves missed 3 FG attempts, 1 hit the post & 1 shaved the post. Sometimes it’s just not your night.

We’d still talk about how Brooks goes missing under pressure regardless of a win.

Really? Because there wasnt one post about him going missing under pressure in either of our wins so far.

Yes this exactly. By now he should have a game the team can rely on and trust when under pressure. He has skill and is a good and decent young man, but its like he is playing his first nrl season every year. He just needs to be more selfish and dominant on the field and less of the nice guy. I find Mitch moses obnoxious and annoying but he has developed miles ahead of brooks. He rips into his team mates when they stuff up and is loud and in their face. Brooks cant seem to do this tho.

There's not one post because people are used to it now. He doesn't have the killer instinct. It's common knowledge, people realized long ago he isn't the next Joey Johns.
He is a Trent Hodgkinson at best.

really thinks brooks problem is he is trying to do the no look pass far to often, needs to get back to his running game and the rest will fall into place.

Watching some of the replay (must be a sucker for punishment), but Brooks isn’t looking as bad as some think. With more time and space he’d be able to do a lot more. Penrith were up on him very quickly, many times throughout the match whenever the ball went to him and he was quite stifled as a result. It happened quite often and I suspect it was some sort of game plan by Penrith to shut down our options there. If we had some more momentum and got the ball to him faster it might have been a different story. Can’t really judge him until they’re playing more cohesively as a team. Have a feeling he’d be looking a LOT better.

Personally I think Lukes problem is the crap service from DH he had all night, almost every pass he got he had to stop and wait for it. Robbie has been great this year but Friday his service was slow and rubbish. The Penrith defense was also A. Offside all night or B. very quick off the line. I’m happy to jump on Brooksy if he is real bad but jeez some people are real quick to jump on him and point the finger without looking inside to the service he gets.

You must be watching some other game in a different vortex cos I watched every time Brooks touched the ball and he was NEVER penetrating. He threw hospital passes repeatedly. His kicking game sucked. He killed every attack each time he touched the ball.

He is utterly useless. He is a MASSIVE liability.
And that he won the dally m makes that award and the Tigers the laughing stock of the league.

As long as he is here we won’t win a thing.
And no, I won’t just suck it up cos he’s a tiger and we need to support him.

Braith Anasta was better. So was John Morris.

Brooks out.

I am with you mate. Some of the comments on here about Brooks are ridiculous. I guess there is always going to be high emotion after a loss like that.

Exactly. Said it before, Penrith are always blatantly offside. When you combine that offside, Robbies slow service, and our forwards not always aiming up, it's a tough situation for a half. Luke's worst game last year was against Penrith in the same circumstances I mentioned above but had Taylor playing a horrible game at 9, so it was worse. Against grubs like Penrith, we need quick service from dummy half to have any chance.

When at he start of the season it was said "its Brooksys team now" I was worried lets face it let Luke improve his game as the season wears on and pick a 5/8 who can control a game because unfortunately after five years he does not have the personality or brains to run the team. I remember posting last year he seems to be "Gun Shy" and that continues.
