Come on Strongee,you don't have to name call us because we differ from your opinion...I have been a critic of Brooks many times,GEO can vouch for that..
but in having said that,this year I have enjoyed watching Brooks run the ball more than he has when Benji was his partner,I don't know if JR is the difference or Maguire has made the difference..lets see how he goes in the next few games before we start getting defensive when someone has a differing opinion...

The only Problem we have with Brooks is they have slapping the wrong number on his back since he was 16. He is a very good running half with a decent kicking game.

We need a confident organising half next to him. A leader who knows how to manage a game.

Pitty the club tried to mould both Brooks and Moses into something they weren’t. I often wonder had Moses been given the reigns as the confident organising half and Brooks been given the role of second fiddle running 5/8, whether our club would have followed a different trajectory.

The only reason Moses is winning football games is because they signed Fergo and put Sivo on the wing . Add to that the sudden re-emergence of Jennings and yeah . When they didn’t have any go forward after their winger left they came last . This is not a coincidence. Their pack has slowly been developing , as well.
Also .... we are starting to win football games !
And we had 3 of our starting pack not playing , 2 guys were injured , and Joey had a brain explosion .
We are getting there . And Brooks is a huge component of that . Defensively elite , elite running game , above average short game , and an average kicking game.
The only real constructive criticism I’ve seen on here is that he needs to play more ad-lib footy , and less structure .
Otherwise it’s just outdated thoughts about what a half is , or just blaming every thing on him.

No youre morons for having a 15 page debate , about the validity of an above average half in the NRL . Talking about signing players like Sezer , dropping him for a Player who’s 35 and is best served coming off the bench , who also can’t tackle anymore.
Like I’ve said before , anyone who says we should drop Brooks has zero idea about footy .... period .
And there’s infinite stats to back me up as well as the eyeball.

Yea you’re right ! I’m just sick of reading it . I apologise for calling people morons! That’s uncalled for . He is not Andrew Johns . The sooner people realise this , the better he , them , us , will all be . The unrealistic expectations on a guy who isn’t even in our top 5 paid players is funny .

Good on you for apologising mate,I think the trouble with Luke is,he has had several coaches,had Benji beside him and controlling games and Luke playing structured football as per Madge..
A bit more time and I think we will see a bit more consistency from Luke especially if he has a reliable halves partner and not chopping and changing his partner..

Luke Keary for eg is the dominate half for the Rorters he wears 6..Munster the same for the Storm 6 also..bottom dwellers Dogs 6 Foran ...Titans moved Ash Taylor to 6..masterstroke..

If we are talking about this game 6 Luai created the majority of the Pamfers points

So by all means let Brooks wear 6..

My view is that you need several playmaking options (the best teams have 4), that's where the game is headed.

Brooks would excel at roosters or storm or canberra behind a big pack.
Still think he is more of a running 6 than a playmaking organising 7 in traditional sense, kind of like a faster version of Kevie Walters perhaps or faster version of Keary. Let him float into the game and pick his moments to run however we need an organsing 7 maybe Burton or Madden or a Blake Green etc
